So many broken promises and issues we had to fight for, this was a horrible experience from start to finish. During the sales phase I had included many things in the contract, such as aluminum wrapped brick molding around all windows and door frames, and that the garage door brick molding would be seamless. It was a good thing, because they wanted to charge me $150. / window frame for the brick molding, until they realized it was included in the contract. Then another battle over the seamless aluminum brick molding over the garage door. The contractor argued with me over it and said: "We don't get paid much to do this job." I was promised that there would always be someone who spoke English out on the job site, and there wasn't. I had to rely on my 8th grade Spanish class that I learned decades ago.When the siding finally came together at the NW corner of the house, they were off by 2 inches. They blamed it on the foundation of the house... They used a 2 foot level instead of measuring from the soffit down and snapping chalk lines like they should have, but there were in such a insane hurry to get it done any old which way that they could, they just didn't care how it looked or if it was done right. So many times I had to stop them and have them correct something that I saw. Like the house wrap Tyvek not taped in the seams or siding that wasn't straight. I had to kick the window installer and siding installer off the top of a brand newly installed air conditioner, they were standing on it, using it as a ladder... They damaged a ladder of mine, they used my tools for a lot of the work. I felt like I had to supervise them because I simply did not trust them to do what they said that they were going to do. It didn't give me a lot of confidence when here I am, a laymen with a degree in electronics and nursing, who had to stop these professionals to correct some of their obvious mistakes as they were occurring. Once the install was complete we had a water leak sometime in March. I did some investigating, because we have NEVER had a leak EVER in this house which was built back in 1968. I noticed a icicle water fall running down the siding next to the roof line, and next to this on the roof was a piece of corner trim that was installed flush with the top of the shingles on the roof. This corner trim was catching water that would melt and it was forcing the water underneath the siding and inside the house causing interior damage to occur. The ceiling, drapes, and wallpaper was damaged. The cost to fix the interior damage was a lot. Initially Allstar agreed to fix their problems, but then later denied making that claim and refused to help with any interior damage that they caused. Allstar claimed that due to ice on the roof, they could not be held liable for the damages. I could easily reproduce the failure with a garden hose on the roof to provide the water source, and like I predicted, the corner trim board collected the water and forced it underneath the siding and it ran inside the house with fresh water marks on the backside of the sheet rock (which I could view from the unfinished laundry room). They promised that the landscaping would not be damaged, and they walked over the hostas to the point they were flattened. The gutters had to be adjusted because they were not draining.

I will keep it brief. I was told that only Allstar employees would be on my site actually installing materials. Incorrect. Gutter are sloped so won't drain properly. I requested repair but none occurred. Site was left with debris everywhere mainly because of snow. They did return once to clean up but still much debris left. Roof is on and so far no leaks. Siding is on but I received no paperwork for warranty. I found myself on at least three occasions needing to tell workers how the work was to be completed per the bid.

There is not enough room here to write all the details. WE love our new deck, but the H*** we had to go through with the miss communication with our salesman was a nightmare. I guess I have learned...GET EVERYTHING in writing before anything begins. Also, they charged us over $300 for the permit.....checked with the City, it only costs $75....what a HUGE mark up that is....Also, was told it takes a couple weeks to obtain the permit as it is out sourced by the city (that's what Jerry told us) When I called the city to question it....they laughed, said you can get then within a day. Again Jerry apologized for the miss communication....I wonder if he has a recorded message that says those words as I think he told us at least a dozen or more times. I understand mistakes happen, miss communication can happen, but this many times with the same person....really???? Also, we asked to have our deck cleaned as they left it s o full of mudd....Jerry said well, they tried to be careful and clean it up .....well the way it is.....there was no attempt on cleaning it. He said he would hire a contractor to come out and professionally clean it for us....well that company called me yesterday and asked me how I would suggest he clean it as he has never cleaned a deck before and did we have cleaning supplies to clean it with...REALLY... and not to mention the mess they left for us to clean uo. ALL of the dirt from the pylons was left in one big huge pile in our yard for us to do something with, not to mention all the nails all over our yard and driveway....needed to replace a tire on our lawn tractor due to a nail and a car tire repaired due to a nail picked up in the driveway. Might use Allstar again but will never want to deal with Jerry ever again. If he were the only sales rep....I wouldn't deal with Allstar at all.

They were prompt and efficient. Thoroughly cleaned up when the work was done. I would recommend this company!

Project went very well. They were prompt with the estimate and were able to move the job up so I could get the house on the market.

The roof is great but they replaced the skylight which cracked soon after installation. We worked with another vendor who replaced the skylight with a better cheaper product and noted the other was poorly installed as well as poor quality.

They are extremely professional, timely and responsive. They handled everything with the insurance company very well.

We had some leakage from an ice damp and so wondering what the recommendations were from them for the roof. Basically we did a quick fix, but would still have the problem so the roof was eventually needed to be re done. They came out the same day that I called, but they didn’t return my phone call until I prompted once again.

They were excellent. We were in touch with Keith from their business. The roof is gorgeous. There was a little temporary leak but they are fixing the damage. They gave me a warranty but I am not sure for how long. My roof was covered by insurance but we paid about $10000 out of our pocket.

ALL STAR CONSTRUCTION was great. We were really happy with their work. They do real quality work. They were really good about communicating with us as a board. They let us know what issues came up. The hired workers were exceptional and worked through some very tough working conditions. They were really nice and were able to say hello. They did a good job and were able to pick up the place and make it clean. They have come back to checkup on the work and have made changes with the ventilation accordingly. They have been wonderful.

When I had them come out in August to look at the roof, I explicitly told them I only wanted them to look at it and not to do any work on it. While the young man who came out to look at it was here, he put some glue on the shingles and later I received a bill from them for $250. Even though the roof has a warranty for 10 years, they claim they aren't responsible and the leak was due to storm damage. I also had another roofing company take a look at my roof. I suspect Allstar will be sending me another bill soon but, I won't be paying it or the one I received for $250.

Allstar disputed all of the inspector s findings, but did send out another crew to make additional repairs. This spring a large section of shingles again fell off, other shingles were slipping apart, and large sections were buckling. The owner of Allstar did not return our call. The BBB web site listed Grady Stephens as the person to contact prior to filing a complaint with the bureau. Stephens agreed to tear off and replace the entire roof. Time will tell whether this job was done properly, but we were impressed with the crew and their work. Had Allstar re-roofed at the recommendation of the independent inspector, we would give them a recommendation with minor reservations. As it stands, we would not recommend this company under any circumstances.

They were very accommodating, as I was on a strict time schedule since I was selling the house. They got to the job quickly, they were on time, and everything was well done. If it weren't for the fact that I'm moving away, I would definitely use them again, and I did, in fact, recommend them to the new homeowner.

CREW WAS ON TIME AND DID A GREAT JOB. MOST IMPRESSIVE WAS THE THE THOROUGHNESS OF CLEANING THE YARD AFTER THE JOB. MY ONLY COMPLAINTS ARE THAT THEY BROKE A BIRD FEEDER WITH FALLING DEBRIS (WE WERE NEVER TOLD OF IT), AND PARKED A DUMPSTER IN FRONT OF THE 3RD CAR GARAGE DOOR BEFORE CHECKING TO MAKE SURE THE CAR WAS OUT. THE DUMPSTER WAS THERE FOR 3 DAYS SO IT COULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS OVERSIGHT. BUT, OVERALL THE EXPERIENCE WAS VERY GOOD. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM.

ALL IN ALL, PRETTY UNEVENTFUL, BUT GOOD.

OVERALL, WORK WAS DONE ON TIME, ON BUDGET, AND IN A VERY SATISFACTORY MANNER. RESPONSIVENESS WAS LESS THAN EXPECTED. SOME DELAYS IN WORK DUE TO MISTAKES IN TYPE OF MATERIALS DELIVERED TO THE WORK SITE (3 SEPARATE INSTANCES). OVERALL, WE WERE VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK. WE INTEND TO WORK WITH THEM AGAIN DUE TO THEIR VERY COMPETENT STAFF AND DEPTH IN SKILL SETS.

PETE CARLSON IS THE CONTACT, CALL HIM DIRECTLY, HE IS VERY NICE AND GREAT AT COORDINATING EVERYTHING. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND SUPERVISED THE ENTIRE OPERATION TO INSURE QUALITY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM! A GREAT COMPANY!

THE SALESMAN WAS VERY THOROUGH AND RETURNED CALL PROMPTLY UNTIL I STARTED COMPLAINING ABOUT WORK. WORKMEN DIDN''T CALL FOR INTERIM INSPECTION AND MARRED SEVERAL SHINGLES. ALSO CHIMNEY FLASHING ORIGINALLY DONE POORLY. IT TOOK A LOT OF CALLS AND A COUPLE OF RETURN VISITS BEFORE THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED. I FELT VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE PROCESS.
