Service Master was originally hired by our insurance company to assess the damage of a leaking toilet (leak through ceiling to basement and into walls), professionally dry everything out and tear down.  We proceeded to hire them to do all the repair work as we were very impressed with the professionalism, punctuality, communication and quality of work.  Throughout the entire process, we were informed every step of the way of what was happening during the day (while we were at work) and what we could expect to happen the following day.  The quality of work done was superb - my only complaint is later I found paint drips here and there in the walls - but nothing too bad.  Not only did we get our basement fixed (drywall replaced, repaint, texture ceiling, replace 3 interior doors and carpets cleaned) - but we took this opportunity to upgrade our bathroom in the process since the floors and the toilet had to be replaced anyway.  Service Master was happy to locate items for us (showing us tubs that they found and giving us prices) or take what we found/bought and use.  We had a clear estimate from beginning to end and only one surprise during the process that caused the estimate to go up -- but we would have had no idea without opening the walls.  I would DEFINITELY hire this company again if I had a need.

They were very good and very prompt. They kept us in a loop every day. They were done in like a week. They picked up after themselves and they were clean and neat about their work.

We had a sewer backup that went unnoticed for a long time.

When they arrived, they got right to work. After I signed some paperwork, I asked what they needed me to do. "Nothing, we'll do it all. You don't have to do a thing." Wow! I thought I'd have to move all the knick-knacks but no, they took care of it. The plumber was there at the same time and from what I could tell, there were no conflicts. That day went very well and they were out within 4 hours. Each subsequent day, they came to check the progress, to see if they could salvage the dryway (which they did). Those were the only days there was a problem because they didn't arrive when they said they would. The guys were always pleasant and professional and apologized for being late. I would definitely hire them again for this type of work.
