Originally we got bids for the job of updating and renovating the bathroom. Jim's bid was competitive. However, our basement was under repair by a contractor and he had Jim work through him instead so we did not pay Jim directly. Our old fiberglass shower surround was cut into pieces and removed and the vinyl flooring had already been pulled up by the contractor's crew. Jim is obviously a seasoned worker and he really transformed this bathroom from ordinary to showcase. This is such a labor intensive job and Jim always put in a hard days work. He even came out over a holiday weekend to make sure the project got finished. Jim is very personable but there were a couple of occasions where he seemed to have issue with the contractor and wanted me to relay information to him rather than doing this himself. I did not like being put in this position. However, I think if Jim had done this job directly with us, we would not have seen any negative issues. Jim told us how to seal and take care of the tile and grout and he gave us pointers when we were choosing the materials. I think Jim was very dependable and that counts for a lot. But best of all, his work is beautiful.
