Called home residence at 9 am to schedule work. Arrived at 10 am to determine amount of work and parts needed for job. Parts run for new water heater and parts and arrived back in one and a half hours.Removed old water heater - 30 minutes.Installed new water heater - 1 hour.Prior to removal of old water heater, home owner turned off water and drained water heater.Plumber shut off natural gas at meter, disconnected water softner and moved out-of-way to disassemble and make a couple of pipe cuttings and swing gas pipe out-of-way to remove old water heater. Home owner helped with removal and placing new water heater in position.Plumber reconnected new water heater with proper fittings and soldered in place and reconnected water softner and salt tank.Turned natural gas back on and checked for leakage and drafts. Turned water on to fill tank and check for leaks. Lit water heater, went over instructions, gave card to call if problems arise. Very thorough, polite, and knowledgable.
