We like her very much. She's very good with the cats, she tends be very conservative about medication. She doesn't believe in unnecessary drugs or shots. She just deals with cats. We think she's very fair and reasonable. She's always quick to respond when I call. Very professional. I plan to keep using her.

I went to them two years ago. They were good to my other kitty but, he did not like them. They are really good. I would not go back just because he did not like them. I would use them for my other cat.

They are very upfront about their prices and they are a holistic company. They are only three blocks away. They are really good. The price was surprisingly reasonable as far as surgery. I would use them again in the future.

It is a holistic veterinarian facility that really specializes in cats. The vet actually makes house calls, which is fantastic because I have got a couple of older cats which are just terrorized by going to the vet. It is about $100 to make the house call, and I pay extra for whatever services she provides on top of that. A general overall checkup coupled with a house call is about $150. It is comparable to other vets that I would go to in person. The difference in the cost is, of course, having her come to me. It is worth the extra expense. My cats have had some bad experiences with vets in the past. They are 13 years old now, and I don't want to put them through the trauma of having to go to the vets. She is a vet who is knowledgeable about the very nature of cats, which is usually useful. She understands how to deal with difficult cats, whereas a more generic vet would instantly want to put them under anesthesia to do things. I have a cat that is a little bit wild. The vet wears long leather gloves, which shows a deep knowledge of the animal she is dealing with. She also carries a wide range of tools in her toolbox to deal with various situations. I have a difficult cat that is very threatening to the vet. Sometimes, such cats can get mishandled by the vets, especially when they are out of the owner's sight. That is part of the reason why my cats have become so crazy when the vet is around. The vet is knowledgeable, good and compassionate and knows the species she is dealing with very well. I appreciate the holistic nature of her practice as well. She does everything including Western medicine, but she is not afraid to venture into acupuncture and other things too. I have an arthritic cat that has been my buddy for a long time, so if I can do something on his behalf, I do it. The vet will come within half an hour. I have been very happy because it is very hard to find vets like this. I would rate them highly.

I have 3 cats (one is high maintenance) and have been going to the Cat Care Clinic for about 7 years. I could not be happier. Dr. Sue always explains things very carefully, does not perform uneeded tests, gives high quality service at very reasonable prices, and listens to me. One of my cats is getting quite old and she is very realistic and honest. She does not push for extremes but rather quality of my cat's remaining years. Her staff is great. I like that she specializes in cats.

Everything that was done for our cat, including some kind of Eastern medicine like sugar drops came up to $85. It worked like a charm and we were really impressed. We like that they would certainly do western medicine too and they will try and broaden and not a typical veterinary where surgery is the best option, but they look at other techniques as well.

The second X-ray confirmed the presence of a suspicious object in Iris' stomach. Dr Sue took some time to talk to me about what she might do surgically. Stomach surgery is very major operation; I was nervous especially as Iris is elderly and her chronic kidney problem did not make her the best surgery candidate. So I needed some reassurance as well as wanting to be realistic about the risks etc. Dr Sue was very patient with my questions and went over the X-rays with me in detail. She also called me soon after the procedure to tell me what she found, what she did, and how Iris was recovering. When I went to pick up Iris later that day, both Dr Sue and her assistant went over everything again, in addition to my home care and what to expect during Iris' recovery. It was clear that everyone involved was very concerned that Iris have the best possible outcome. Also Murray, one of the clinic cats, took a special interest in making Iris comfortable and giving her moral support.

One thing I really like about Dr Sue is that she will do what she can to fit in urgent visits. Since my cat Lancelot had no clear bite wounds or broken bones, etc. I waited until Monday but took him in first thing. He had had a toenail ripped out by a dog that someone allowed to wander the neighborhood, that ended up in my yard. Dr Sue was extremely gentle while checking him for bite wounds, other injuries like bruising, and cleaning and examining the toe. I like that she does not push invasive procedures or drugs unless there is a very clear need. Her staff are very good with the animals, too. My cats like her place because it doesn't have that overly sterilized chemical smell. Also she puts the cats on a blanket on the table, instead of making them slide all over a cold metal sheet that smells of chemicals and dog.

Dr. Swanson went over all of Spartacus's vital signs, temp, eyes, teeth, etc., and examined him for signs of arthritis and pointed out physical problems associated with aging. She recommended a different brand of cat food and supplements to help him with arthritis and digestive problems. She advised me on medications, especially innoculations which she explained are often overused especially in senior cats. She and I share a similar outlook when it comes to such things as preferring the natural over the artificial in food additives, etc. and the need to protect pets as much as possible from chemicals in the environment. I had several concerns which she answered fully; my feeling is that she keeps up with all the latest information and studies in her field. She brought her assistant Tanya with her, and our cat seemed quite comfortable with both of them. It was such a relief not to have to undergo the stressful drive to the vet's and its aftermath. I would heartily recommend this veterinary practice to anyone seeking the best in cat care.

IT WAS A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! WE HAD TAKEN THIS CAT (CAMILLE) TO ANOTHER VET WHO DID NOT HANDLE HER WELL and CAMILLE BIT HER SO SHE WAS BANNED FROM THAT CLINIC. DR SUE WAS TERRIFIC WITH HER and DIDN'T EVEN HAVE TO SEDATE HER; JUST USED RESCUE REMEDY. SHE IS A MUCH HAPPIER CAT NOW WITH THE MATS REMOVED and HER SOCIAL SKILLS ARE IMPROVING AS WELL AS HER TRUST LEVEL.

WHEN MY CAT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER THE FIRST VET TOLD ME TO JUST GO HOME AND WAIT FOR HIM TO DIE. HE OFFERED NO PAINKILLERS OR SUGGESTIONS. I WAS REFERRED TO DR. SUE BY A FRIEND. DR. SUE COMBINES TRADITIONAL AND EASTERN MEDICINE APPROACHES. ALTHOUGH I KNEW THE CAT COULDN'T BE CURED, I WANTED TO GIVE HIM THE BEST QUALITY OF LIFE UNTIL HE WAS READY TO BE PUT DOWN. SHE PROVIDED BOTH TRADITIONAL AND ALTERNATIVE MEDICATIONS, AND HE ''CAME BACK'' AND HAD A REALLY GOOD 4 MOS. HE WAS MORE ACTIVE THAN I HAD EVER SEEN HIM BEFORE. WHEN THE TIME FINALLY CAME, DR. SUE CAME TO MY HOUSE AND PUT HIM TO SLEEP AS HE TOOK HIS LAST SUNBATH. WE LATER RECEIVED A SYMPATHY CARD AND POEM FROM HER OFFICE.
