"My name is Tom Dick and I am a co-owner of Irrigation Services. This review is untrue and all lies. We asked Angies List to help us and they said we could only respond on here or get a subpoena to have it removed. We were called by [member name removed] to repair her sprinkler system. We asked what was wrong? She stated another company had started it and there was problems. We said why didn't they fix it? She said he was psycho. We told her our hourly pricing and that we have a two man crew available. She wanted us there on June 4 2013 at 7:30 am because she had to get to work. We arrived at 7:30 am and no one came to the door. We could see her in the upstairs bathroom getting ready. She came out 20 mins. later. She showed us the timer in the garage and she showed us a valve in the garage to replace in the ground if a zone valve was bad. We turned on system(water was off) and went through all the zones. This is a 30 year old system in Plymouth, running on well water. We found the #4 zone valve not turning off and 3 bad heads. One person located and dug up zone valve while the other person changed out bad heads and nozzles. We could not use her valve because [member name removed] had purchased a female valve and it needed to be a male valve. We checked and buried our repairs. We went through all the zones again and it all worked fine. When we looked inside the bad heads and inside the valve there was grit and sand it the system. We came to the conclusion that the well was bring in debris causing problems. We were at site for 2 hours. We closed garage door and left. Our office sent an invoice for $252.90. We received a call over 1 month later on July 8th 2013 at 5:59 pm stating 3 heads in back were not working. We saved the voicemail if anyone wants to here it. We called [member name removed] back and we explained we did no change heads in back and it was probably the well water drawing up sand causing problems. [member name removed] hung up on us. We called back and received no answer. We never received any payment. Our collections called in October looking for payment. She hung up on our person. We called a few more times and left messages. We notified [member name removed] on November 6 th 2013 that we had no choice but to file in small claims court. We paid the $70.00 and filed. We were in court on February 3 th 2014. On February 5th 2014 we received a letter from the Fourth Judicial District Court stating that we are entitled to judgment against [mebmer name removed] for $322.90. Case # 27-CO-13-9506. We still have not received any money. She told the judge that we were on site for 10 min.. She was at work! We are a hardworking and honest company. We have been doing business for 25 yrs. We have had very few complaints. We have paid for the materials in her yard and the wages and the taxes of the workers. We were contacted by Angies List about this issue. Sorry for the long response but this is our only way to defend our company. After writing this I doubt we will ever see any money at all. We decided the truth was more important. We received a D for Punctuality and we were on site at the exact time. This issue does show the limitations of these sites. Angies List told us to get over bad review and move on. They were only concerned with trying to sell us advertising packages at the end of every conversation. Be careful. The best way to get contractor referrals is through word of mouth of friends and neighbors. They do not qualify the customers or the contractors. No one at Angies List has ever checked our Licenses."
