Went pretty good. they came by and asked if I wanted the dead trees gone. Yes I knew they were dead, had intended to get around to it. (uh oh, one of those "we're in the neighborhood" stories) I asked them to come back when they were done with the job they were working on. Looked them up on Angies list, they had a good review, so when they came back I asked for the estimate. They said $1000 and that's what they charged. They chopped down 3 big dead ash trees and ground down the stumps, trimmed all the low hanging limbs on numerous other trees, and chopped down 3 little volunteer trees that were too close to the house. They also removed ALL the debris!
One thing that could have been dangerous. They didn't give me the paperwork right away, so I watched the credit card for activity. It cleared shortly thereafter and has been good since - no fraud.

I would recommend them and they did a good job. They ground down the stump and everything and holed their way. I don't know about the price and I didn't check with anybody else. I think it was a pretty good price for the tree. They came to us so we didn't have to call them.

I was satisfied with work they did for me in the past so I used them again. I did not have them grind the stump but I might have them do it in the future. They are very professional and they didn't tear up my yard.

Two employees came by the night before giving out estimates to fill in their schedule since they would already be in the area in the coming days. We walked around looking at what the trees needed and then agreed on a price. A crew came the next day to do the work and were very prompt and efficient. It seems like they did a thorough job cleaning out the trees and taking out the dead and hanging limbs although they could have done a better job of cleaning up the cuts at the tree trunk so they didn't protrude as much. Then they chipped all the branches, cut up the larger branches and tried to clean up the yard. Granted it is hard with all the little pieces but they missed some of the bigger sticks in some areas and could have been more thorough. They left me the larger pieces for firewood but didn't ask where I wanted them and just threw them at the base of one of the trees. When they were moving branches from the back yard to the front for chipping they were not very careful with the fence and scratched up a post and gate pretty well. Overall I think they did a good job trimming the trees but could have paid more consideration to the details and property.

They trimmed the tree in back yard one evening and than we decided to cut down the tree in the front yard the next day. They came and cut the tree down, cut the wood to fire place length and stacked on driveway. They ground the stump and planted a small tree as per agreement. A few days later when we removed the wood chips and dirt away to prepare for sod we discovered that the stump wasn't completely ground, there was still stump above the grass line. We called them and explained what our concern was and was told that they would be back on Friday or Monday to finish it. They never showed. We called a couple of times after and they said they would get to it soon. Then they just quite answering our calls (must have caller ID). Wanting to get the front yard cleaned up and the sod down we finally called another stump grinding company to come and finish the job and a cost to us of $80. We are sending the bill to Gosiak Tree Service.

Went very well. They were in the neighborhood and said they could do the work right away. It was done within a couple of hours, and they cleaned up after themselves.

Rob knocked on our door offering tree trimming since they were in the neighborhood anyway. He gave a quote of 800 for the trees mentioned above to include trimming a bunch of arborvitae that are along side the house. He returned 30 minutes later to lower the quote to 600. They started the job, but had to leave early, and left a large amount of equipment in our yard, and dropped a large branch on a bush causing some breakage to the shrub. The next morning, they showed up an hour late, and when I had done arborvitae myself, we had to renegotiate, which he offered to do a few other trees, and not charge an extra 40 for "tax". He was very respectful of my specific requests about the trimming. They were a little sloppy with the mini chain saw, and knicked the bark in a number of places, but cleaned up the branches and leaves pretty well. The business card said they accepted VISA, but he said he'd have to charge the 40 "tax" if we paid with VISA, so we paid by check.

The company had been in my neighborhood for a couple of days and someone stopped by asking if I wanted an estimate on any tree work. I'd been wanting to get the storm damage cleaned up, but had waited until the ground froze, to avoid as much damage as possible to the lawn, so the timing was perfect. The estimate was less than I'd expected based on conversations with other tree services. I was concerned that a large evergreen near the willow not be damaged and they did a great job of not hurting the evergreen. The trees were all in the back of my property and not accessible with a vehicle. I was astounded at the way the crew carried all the pieces around to the street, which wasn't easy given all the fences and landscaping. In all, they did a super job. Only one shrub was damaged, which I think is pretty good, given the tons of wood they moved by hand.
