Spectacular, from estimate to clean up. Custom Finishes demonstrates professionalism, exceptional customer service and attention to detail from estimate to a sincere thank you upon completing the job. Josh responded immediately to our Board's inquiries about details on the bid. He was punctual. Josh and his assistant were pleasant and receptive to questions as they were doing the work and answered our questions thoroughly. The space/alley behind our building is small and he had to move his truck several times to allow vehicles to pass; Josh and his assistant were unfailingly polite and considerate. Job completed in a day (other bids cited 2 days for same work). Neat and clean new sidewalk is exactly what we needed to stop rainwater from entering our basement. In addition to slanting sidewalk so rainwater is directed away from our building, he beveled the west edge to keep water from flooding the lawn. The ultimate test was the day after the sidewalk was completed: we had a downpour and no puddles in our basement. The clean up was impeccable ... not a rock, not a nail, not a pebble left behind. Josh sincerely thanked us for the work. We are very happy with every aspect of our association with Custom Finishes.

The floor was torn out and replaced first and went fine. The driveway and sidewalks removed and replaced next over a few days. The border of the driveway was stamped and adds distinction to the driveway. They all turned out excellent.

Josh and his crew did a great job. We were fearful at first about the project thinking we might have to have the huge ash tree removed or risk cutting tree roots causing it to die. Josh assured us that he could install the walkway without harming the tree and would add rebar (which had not been done originally) to minimize the chance of it happening again. Not only did Josh and his crew finish the job in less than 2 days, they were careful about plantings that bordered both sides of the walk and left the worksite clean and orderly and saved our ash tree. All three are very personable as well. Another project we have on our list is the concrete apron in front of our double garage. When we get to that, Josh is who I will call.

These guys are great. Very responsive and courteous.  Missed first appointment due to traffic, but Jake called and apologized.  Counter was delivered and installed as promised.  They put the wrong grout into seams, but promptly came back and installed correct grout on a Saturday.  Jake also said I should call him in the spring and he would come back and buff/seal the counter when it wasn't as cold outside.  I would definitely use these guys again.

Everything went very smooth with Josh. The communication was great. He had no problem postponing work for two months for me and gave me the same price. The work was done in a timely manner and the finished product is wonderful.

I don't usually take time to write reviews; however, because of the outstanding service I received from Josh and his crew, I felt compelled to put my praise in writing. Josh was patient, punctual, understanding, professional and trustworthy. I was looking for a new sidewalk that was NOT the typical white concrete, and Josh provided suggestions, pictures, examples, and links that helped me find exactly what I was envisioning. My house was built in 1936, and I wanted a new sidewalk that looked old. We settled on a raised granite aggregate finish. It turned out absolutely perfect!!! Actually, it exceeded my expectations which isn't very easy to do! Thanks Josh for making this home improvement project completely painless!

Everything went very well from start to finish. Josh was very responsive, professional and reasonably priced. I couldn't be happier with the finished result. Furthermore, my dog walked on the concrete when it was still wet and Josh fixed it without me even asking.

Our front steps had separated from the foundation of our house.  We needed them replaced before placing our house on the market.  They honored our request for fast service!  From start to finish, they were prompt, left the work site clean, and weren't finished until the final clean-up after the concrete had been poured and had a little time to settle.  These guys were polite, professional, took time to answer all our questions, and worked very hard to finish the job in the time frame they'd given us.  We would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone!

Josh from Custom Finishes was our third estimate for this project. He was the only one to actually do some checking on possible problems with the slope of our apron and possible drainage problems at the time of his estimate and determined that a long grated drain in the middle of the apron would solve our problems. The other two companies we got estimates from talked about this issue but said that they wouldn't know until they were into the project and that other changes would possibly have to be made that would increase the cost. We felt much more comfortable going with Josh and knowing the cost ahead of time, even though we thought that his estimate would be more because of the drain installation. We were pleasantly surprised that he actually came in lower than the other two, so we had no problem moving forward. Josh, Jake and Eric arrived at 8 AM on 10/8 and started right in tearing out two 12 X 12 slabs of apron and about 75 feet of 31/2 foot wide sidewalk, all by hand! They seem to be great friends and work well together; I enjoyed hearing them laughing and joking even during this grueling work. By Friday, 10/10 we had all new concrete and on Tues. 10/14, Josh and Jake came back and took the protective plastic off the drain and trimmed the concrete edges, removed all the framing and sealed all the concrete, even the sidewalks (the other two companies said that they would only seal the garage apron for protection from road salt). All three guys know what they are doing and work hard and efficiently, but still found time to chat with me when I came out to bring them a treat and also interacted with our dog which she really enjoyed! We have already discussed future projects with them for next summer, and they will be the only company we have to call. We have had a lot of large projects that have been undertaken since we have lived in our house, and it was so refreshing to work with someone who knew what they were doing and completed it all without any kind of glitch whatsoever. Thanks Josh, Jake and Eric -- you're the best!

Josh was very helpful with all my questions during our initial meeting.  Gave me a price right away. 
He, Jake and crew were on-time the scheduled day but had a weather delay and came back the  next day.
They were quick to get to work and did not waste any time.  I could tell they had done this for a while.  I had some real drainage issues with the detached old garage, which they masterfully took care of by sloping and "curbing" areas that have been a real nuisance in the past.  The driveway looks beautiful!
I had some issues with my credit card and Josh was very patient while I called my credit card company to get it solved.  He had a little deal -y on his phone to process the payment right then and there!

Josh & his crew did an outstanding job as my wants kept changing and he was SO patient!!!  The finished product was FAR superior than I'd imagined.  The entire crew was prompt and professional.  They worked LONG hours to beat the rain and other obstacles and never skimped on quality.  I am VERY grateful for his suggestions and genuine concern.  I can't imagine anyone doing a better job than Custom Finishers!!!

We had panels and an apron replaced in our driveway.  Josh was very easy to work with and found the most cost-effective solution to our problem.  He and his crew worked very hard and diligently.  The job was completed on time and looks fantastic.  Would definitely recommend.
