I obtained the mortgage but the loan officer pulled a trick towards the end when we went to lock in the rate which gave her another quarter point of income. I feel she was untruthful about interest rates going up and that I needed to buy it back down. I checked - the rates hadn't moved. Later it was revealed by another employee (Paula W.) at this bank that the loan officers had been instructed to get 1% commission on all deals. Cheryl had done this by telling me she would give me 0.75% commission price that they had always given me because I was a regular customer and pulled the trick at lock-in time to kick it back up to 1% total. She could have just told me that they were not able to do the 0.75% instead of the tricks.
