We've been in the house a year since the inspection and have been surprised by a lot of things that should have been on the inspection report. From major moisture/ mold in the attic due to inadequate ventilation/blocked soffit vents to missing GFI outlets in the baths/kitchen. There's a "mold disclaimer" on the inspection report but especially with the attic, he should have seen the soffit vents were totally blocked! We wouldn't have a mold problem if they weren't. With the amount of water/moisture issues we've had since we moved in ($32K+), he should have at least recommended another targeted inspection. The siding was "soft" in some spots. He explained to us that the painter probably power washed & didn't leave enough time for it to dry, minimized it. Now we have to replace the siding and remove the mold behind it. (heavy sigh) I'm embarrassed to write this because I feel naive/stupid to not have known to ask more questions, get more testing done. I could go on but what's the point
