My husband Jeff and I had contacted a friend in the Real Estate business to help us sell our home. She has had some personal issues she is dealing with so she referred us to Tom. At first we were a bit skeptical but we thought we would meet with Tom as a courtesy to her.
The first time we met Tom he completely surprised me and within 15 minutes of him being at our house, thoroughly impressed me. He had marketing strategies I had not seen from other agents we had interviewed, logistics, facts and a theory that provided hard core numbers (I am a numbers girl). We knew that Tom would be the agent that would list our house for us.
After our initial conversation Tom, very professionally, followed up with us to have another meeting where we would discuss the timing, price and our personal strategy. Very knowledgably he walked us through his thoughts and provided his professional opinion but allowed us to decide on a listing price with which we were comfortable. While he took measurements and asked us very specific questions so he could get to know our home, he asked what our next step was, after selling. We very quickly answered, we want to build on property. Because we were certain this is what we would do, he asked us where we would be building. We responded that we didn?t have land yet because we wanted to sell our home, have the cash to buy the property and while living with our mother, we would build.
Tom, being the professional he is, just stated, if you need any help at all looking for land, I would be happy to help. With that we asked if he could forward us some listings. Tom did just that and we continued to watch for the perfect piece of land to build our new family home. After only 63 days on the market our house sold and we hadn?t found any land. We didn?t panic at that point but started the search a bit more diligently, with Tom?s help. He continued to throw ideas and new properties our way thinking of us every step of the way.
It?s now getting close to moving time and we still don?t have a piece of property. In a weak moment of thinking we might have to live with mom for 2 years before we find and build?.. I called Tom and asked him to show me a few homes. He chuckled and said he would be happy to do so.
We fell in love with a home that was bank owned. With Tom?s guidance and professional advice we made an offer we both thought was fair and with what we would be comfortable paying. We had a few hiccups along the way after making a formal purchase agreement. I began to get frustrated and think it just wasn?t meant to be. Tom assured me this is pretty standard and that he would take care of any and all of the issues. He did and allowed us to relax and focus on being home owners once again.
I am not an easy customer nor am I easy to please and Tom always had a smile on his face and was always willing and ready to help with whatever I threw his direction. He is a complete professional with incredible knowledge in his business and I would highly recommend Tom to even my family or closest friends. We will, if we ever need to sell our home again, be contacting Tom, without a doubt!
After this, Tom stayed in touch with me, offering me guidance and counselling on the purchasing process with the 2 homes. I really appreciate Tom's professionalism - he knows that when an offer needs to be made, he will stay to write up all documents and send it in first thing in the morning. If I am going to be buying one or two or more homes, I will go with Tom!
