Skeeter Electric

I emailed Skeeter Electric to come and give an estimate on doing some electrical work in our kitchen/living room that is being remodeled. Fairly responsive to come out and look at job and was there when he said he was going to be there. I have not heard from him since. It's been a week and a half. Very unprofessional to not follow up with either an estimate to do the job or to pass on the work.

I had used Rob at Skeeter Electric for a previous electric issue. He was nice and went above and beyond during that service call. I called Rob this time because I tried to troubleshoot an outlet issue on my own and failed. I requested to schedule a service call with him and told him the issue. After gathering information about what was wrong, he gave me a simple solution to try, something I had not thought to do on my own, before having him come over. I tried it and it worked. He could have withheld this free tip, but didn't. If he was unethical, he could have come over to do extra work that didn't need to be done, and I would not have known, but he didn't. He seems like an honest electrician that knows his stuff and if I had needed him to come over, his rates are very reasonable. He is looking for a long term, trusting relationship with his customers. I think this is exactly what we, Angie's List members, are all looking for!

My kitchen light was not turning on. I put in new bulbs and had the same issue. I called a few companies and Skeeter Electric picked up right away even though it was slightly after hours. He listed a couple of possibilities for what it might be. He told me his hourly rate and how much the part would cost for each scenario. Though only a small job, he was willing to accept it. He was able to stop by within a couple of days. He switched out a part in the light fixture and the lights worked again. He charged me for the hour and the cost of the part. I needed a hand with a minor refrigerator issue while he was there and he was willing to help me out during that hour. He was friendly and down to earth.

Rob is a great guy he is very knowledgeable, fast and very reasonable with his pricing..
