Terrible, the painting crew showed up in the morning, there were children under the age of 16, on the crew. We have a very nice Charles Cudd home, 7 years old. Aside from the very sub-standard painting job, wires were painted, paint was dropped on our concrete decks, and on our landscaping, they washed their equipment out on our lawn which is not dead.
We complained and the owner and head painter came out to note our 'problems' we were told that our expectations were too high for exterior paint jobs. They made note of areas they would rectify.  The next day a 2 man pint crew came out, neither of them were there when we showed the problem areas.  These two did not speak english, they walked around a lot, painted a few things and then drove off.  We are very disatisfied. Their un-professionalism, starting with the owner was epic.

This is one great team! Scott Vowels did a great job of managing the team, recommending finishes and colors, and answering questions quickly. We would gladly hire them again for any project. They traveled to Alexandria to work on our new lake home, and also will paint our home as needed in Eden Prairie.

The Cityscape team was excellent!!  Ours is a rather large home and they were very careful not to disturb the landscaping or to leave any mess anywhere once a workday was done.  The house looks absolutely gorgeous in its new color.  Two pillars were covered with a very heavy wisteria vine and couldn't be painted last summer when the rest of the house was being painted (without really hurting the vine).  Cityscape came back this June and carefully painted behind the just emerging vine - and couldn't have been nicer about doing so (and also painting some new gutters that we had installed.)  I recommend them without reservation!

Cityscapes was contracted for interior staining of the all of my windows and doors after recent replacement of such. Their pricing was average. They provided samples of both the oak casing as well as the pine window wood with stained oak coloring. They were instructed very specifically to work only on the basement windows to ensure that the finish was correct prior to moving on into the main floor or the 2nd floor of the home. A crew did show up and start the staining process for the basement windows and doors. The colors were wrong, did not match the samples at all, and there was virtually no blending of the color between the casing and the wood of the window. Furthermore, the crew went onto the main floor and started staining when explicitly told not to do so. The work site was not  cleaned and maintained and I was left on a Friday afternoon with the main floor family room and living room with furniture that was moved all about and no one to show up to work until the next Monday.
I met with one of the owners on a few occasions to address how the basement staining could be corrected and was told repeatedly that it was good as it could be and everything had to do with the effects of the wood. The owner was demeaning and very clear that he would do things his way only and that I should accept it or not. He spent in excess of about 90 minutes on two occasions trying to explain how everything was as good as it could be and "I needed to correct my vision". One of the stainer's returned and worked with me and improved the window and door staining by 1000% with some attention to the detail of the job. I met again with the owner to further clarify how the remainder of the job should be addressed and the owner was not willing to work on getting the correct stain color or providing the attention needed to do the job well.
They did stain my carpet and so will have to have that addressed as well.
I would not recommend Cityscapes for any services.

We were very impressed with the quality of the work. They used small rollers to paint between the boards on the deck, something we would never have thought of. We were under a tight deadline as we were painting in preparaion for selling the house. They always arrived when they said they would. We would definitely use them again

The power washers were skilled professionals, arriving early, and doing an excellent job power washing our whole house and
two decks.  But the two guys who came a week later could barely speak the language so we couldn't communicate, and brought their two kids with them, 16 and 12.  We did not want to be responsible for two kids around a "construction site."  We've had non-English speakers do excellent work on our house before, but they were supervised by someone who could communicate with them.  These guys did shoddy work, caulking here and there instead of full windows etc.  We called the company and they sent out the sales rep who sold us the paint job.  He talked to the guys and things seemed better. But the guys went back to their usual way, rushing through the job. My husband stayed home from work for three days and checked on them every hour, making sure they did the quality work we were expecting.  After prep, they were supposed to spray, then brush the paint on.  But they sprayed like crazy and did minimal brushing so there's "hangnails" of paint where it ran or clustered.  The house looks okay, but we've got some fix-up work to do next summer.  Cityscape's price was about half the other outfits who gave us estimates (the ones we could get here, they were all so busy by May).  We thought (hoped) the cheaper price was because Cityscape was experienced and efficient, but it was because they were fast and skipped over details.  If I could do it over, I would have gotten estimates in March, before actual painting started and outfits would be more likely to respond.  And I'd  probably go with someone more expensive, or a smaller company that could supervise their jobs better.

Jeff provided a quote promptly with advertised Angie's List discount shown clearly on quote, which was reasonable.  We booked the work, picked paint and got going on schedule. There was a detailed walk-through after the initial coat, and all identified areas that needed extra caulk or touch up were noted and done within a day and a half.  The crew did a good job overall.  Communication was fine.

We delayed getting the front of our home painted til Fall and so Cityscape was very busy. It was the later part of October before they were able to get the painting done. We asked them to power wash the entire house, not just the front. There was miscommunication concerning this, so they had to return a second time to complete the power washing. By the time they came to paint, the temperatures were in the high 30's/low 40's. I was told this would not affect the integrity of the paint.

This company is AWESOME!!  I live 90 mile from the home and wasn't able to meet with them.  I just gave them the address and a month later the work was done.  My renter informed me that the place looked BRAND NEW!!!!  Mike and Matt were EXTREMELY easy to work with and kept me in the loop about what was going on.  This company REALLY helped me out.  Would definitely hire them again!!

Cityscape Painting did a great job.  They came in with a reasonable quote, did the work efficiently, and did a good job (the garage floor and front door have both received compliments from neighbors!).  We only had a few minor issues and they either worked to fix the problem (front door) until it was resolved, or have agreed to return to fix the issue (touching up some paint trim areas).  We have appreciated their willingness to follow-up and make sure the job was done to our satisfaction.  Very professional!

They were reasonably priced, for one. They did a good job. However, they did have a new person out who didn't quite represent the company well. Overall, they were excellent. I would recommend them.

They came out when they said they would, and finished the work in a timely manner. We had some water damage and they painted the house to fix it. Their work looked professional, and it was covered by insurance.

They just finished up a few months ago and I think everything went well. We had personal interactions with their staff and painters and it was a really great experience when they put the coating on the garage floor. The price was excellent and they were the most cost effective of everyone we looked at.

The painters showed up exactly on time, did a light pressure wash, taped plastic over all the windows, primed where needed, painted and caulked everything. They sprayed and brushed the paint on. They worked all day and cleaned up as they worked. Very nice group to work with. Four years later, the paint still looks like new. I have recommended them to a number of friends and neighbors. I will definitely use them the next time my house needs painting.

My husband and I wanted to turn our tired white 1947 home into a cute yellow and white cottage style house! We went on Angie?s list to obtain names of potential painting companies and were fortunate enough to have Mike from City Scape Painting Contractors be one of the companies giving us a bid. Mike out bid the other painting companies by providing the best price for all the areas we wanted painted! First they sent out a crew of power washers to power wash our cedar fence (we had that painted also) and our home. The next step was having the painters come out and they were completely professional in the way they taped and scraped and painted our little home! I can?t say enough about how absolutely amazing our house looks now! It?s sunny yellow (Sherwin-Williams Banana Cream), with white trim and they even painted our front door red! They did everything in a timely manner - the neighbors commented on how fast our house was transformed! The cleanup was excellent also - not one paint can or piece of tape was left behind! All the neighbors are talking about how cute our house looks! Mike consulted with us as did the painters through the entire process and they made sure we were 100% satisfied! We are absolutely thrilled with our brand new looking house! Mike worked in the past for Sherwin-Williams so he really knew what paint would be best for painting our metal siding home and our cedar fence. His extensive knowledge of paints really gave us peace of mind and we knew he would pick the best paint product for our home! From a scale of 1 through 10, our home used to be a 5 visually, it has now been transformed to a 10!!!! We have the most adorable house on the block now thanks to Cityscape and every day that I come home I bust out into a smile because I am absolutely crazy about how fabulous our house looks! I can?t say enough good things about Cityscape!
