Cedar Warriors

Preston Schmidt works alone and works harder than I can describe! He gently power washed each cedar shake on our large and complicated roof. It was early October in Minnesota, so he worked from 10 AM to 5 PM for two days on the cleaning, replacing about 6 shingles. Preston had to use lots of safety precautions while washing the roof. The roof had to thoroughly dry before he could apply the seal coating. Nature did not cooperate as it rained every day for a week. However, when we finally had two days of sunny dry weather, Preston finished the seal coating. The roof looks fantastic!

They did a great job. Friendly, punctual and receptive to my requests. Very competitive price and reliable service. They performed as they said they would.

They had to come back to redo it, because the stain did not take. They came with stain that would no longer me available. Once they used it I asked for about touching some things up and they said they could no longer get it. The second time they brought darker stain.

The bad part was the owner's son did the staining and did a very poor job and got stain all over the rock underneath the deck.

Looked great when done - did not have to be there - everything looked good after - no mess or anything to clean up

Outstanding. The wash was 100% removing all stains and discoloration. The stain was a translucent red (recommended) and folks are all over me wanting to know who did it. It looks fabulous!!!

Preston does a good job and you can't beat the price. Four years ago I used him in part because he was by far the cheapest bid I got. I liked the work and so called him again to do it this year, and he offered to do it for the same price as four years ago, which was great.

The fence looks good and it was a fair price. The process was rough because of the close proximity to my neighbors house. I didn't give my neighbors enough notice about the work and it caused a great deal of strain on our relationship-- I own that. I explained the situation to Cedar Warriors and stressed that I needed to keep my neighbors aware of when they would be working on the fence; however, they did not communicate the details of their return. I found out when I returned home and they were packing up after finishing up the staining. Communication around color selection was also wonky. My experience could have been greatly improved with better communication even an FAQ; it all just felt too loosey goosey for me.

Preston and his crew did a nice job for us. I won't hesitate to hire him again or recommend him to others. Had the deck completed in about 4 weeks following initial contact.
