Collyard Landscaping

We had a large backyard concrete pool with extensive concrete decking removed by Collyard Landscaping early 2020. To get equipment to the back yard we needed to go onto the neighbors property and remove the neighbors fencing along with ours. All concrete, pool and decking, was removed and transported piece by piece, to trucks and disposed of in a very timely and efficient manner. The ten feet deep hole in the ground was filled and compacted after each load. The entire backyard was graded and prepared for sodding without issue. Mitch Collyard, owner and operator, did the removal and supervised sod layers, paying particular attention to my neighbors property.. The end result was amazing. My neighbors reaction was ecstatic, stating her yard looks much better then before and was appreciative of his fixing of previous issues she had. Mitch was personable, professional, reliable, hard working and very conscientious. He listened patiently to our needs and concerns and answered all. We were confident with him from the start and exceptionally pleased with the results. His attention to detail was noted. For example, in anticipation of rain one day, we noticed he placed concrete pieces under the drain spout so that the water would be displaced away from the house.

Mitch Collyard did a fantastic job removing our pool and grading our yard! He’s professional, efficient and highly skilled with his heavy equipment. He completed the job in a just a few days. Mitch removed and recycled the pool's steel walls and its concrete footings and deck. He also removed a fence, some pool plumbing and a few plants and trees, and built a retaining wall and returned the yard to a more natural grade, ready for grass. What really impressed me was how quickly he fixed our gutter after accidentally nicking it while moving his excavator though a gnarly space between our house and an out building. He had a gutter repair business out to assess the damage and fix the problem within 2 days, no extra charge to us. He also showed great skill in his excavator by carefully placing large boulders next to the house when building the retaining wall. Mitch is easy to talk to and work with. We’d highly recommend him to anyone interested in removing their pool or landscaping their yard.

very pleased to work with Mitch. We had a deadline to meet and Mitch was very conscious of that, making our project enjoyable. He is a conscientious, hard worker. Owns his own big equipment. He spent time with us, gathering information. His selection of boulders to be used was thoughtful, thus making the big rocks work fit together well and fit the natural situation of our property well.

There was limited access and mature trees to work around. Mitch did a great job removing everything, grading and sodding. He was patient with all our questions and concerns. Everything looks wonderful. Definitely recommend.
