"Rainmaster Irrigation, Inc. installed the system and have serviced it at this house for more then 10 years. The new homeowner would have received a letter with a prescheduled date for the sprinkler winterization. My records show that the winterization was completed on that scheduled date. The homeowner didn't need to call for anything. Any confusion that may of happened during that winterization is probably due to the homeowner not understanding what was needed to complete the task. As the homeowner states the leaking valve wasn't anything relating to our service. As an irrigation contractor we can't replace that valve. That valve can only be replaced by a license plumber. We are a seasonal business. If the homeowner called after this valve was replaced and there was snow on the ground we would have been shut down for the year. Why would we be responsible for the broken pipe? This spring was exceptionally busy with the late snow followed by the hot dry weather. I have searched my call logs, text messages, and email and I have no record of anything from the number that I have associated with this account. In summary, as the homeowner stated the cause of the problem here was not our fault. So why are repercussions?"
