Rainmaster Irrigation did a fantastic job in updating my irrigation system. I had contracted with someone else and they left the job half done and a mess. Rainmaster agreed to step in and complete the job and help me out. I really appreciate their help and would highly recommend their team. Thanks

The installation went well and took on'y 1/2 hour. However the price was exorbitant. The part cost $177 and it took 1/2 hour to install it, but they charged $519, which is exorbitant.

We moved into a house last summer that had our first lawn sprinkler system so we decided to keep the current vendor as they know they system and would hopefully treat us well. Boy was I wrong on that one. October of last year I struggled to get a hold of them to blow out my system but finally did get it figured out. However after that is when the issues started After the system was blown out i found out that we had a leaky ball valve (not their fault) so I figured I would go with them to fix it. After calling many times with no luck I brought in a plumber to just replace the valve no big deal, but I then needed to get my system blown back out as there was a ton of water that leaked back into the system. I called at least 5 times with 3 voice mails with no luck. By the time that i realized they were not getting back to me the snow was already falling and it was way too late. Fast forward to this year I thought i would give them another chance, but after 2 more calls with no call back I decided to go else where. Found out today though when the new company came out to get the system up and running I have busted pipe from the freeze this winter. Not only is Rain Master unresponsive they are also disrespectful as the few times I did actually get a hold of him he was unhelpful and just not worth my time. I would NEVER recommenced Rain Master to anyone ever.
Response from RAINMASTER IRRIGATION INC
"Rainmaster Irrigation, Inc. installed the system and have serviced it at this house for more then 10 years. The new homeowner would have received a letter with a prescheduled date for the sprinkler winterization. My records show that the winterization was completed on that scheduled date. The homeowner didn't need to call for anything. Any confusion that may of happened during that winterization is probably due to the homeowner not understanding what was needed to complete the task. As the homeowner states the leaking valve wasn't anything relating to our service. As an irrigation contractor we can't replace that valve. That valve can only be replaced by a license plumber. We are a seasonal business. If the homeowner called after this valve was replaced and there was snow on the ground we would have been shut down for the year. Why would we be responsible for the broken pipe? This spring was exceptionally busy with the late snow followed by the hot dry weather. I have searched my call logs, text messages, and email and I have no record of anything from the number that I have associated with this account. In summary, as the homeowner stated the cause of the problem here was not our fault. So why are repercussions?"

A lawn sprinkler head was leaking and I thought this would be an easy job, so I made a huge mistake by not looking at Angie's List before hiring this company. They showed up late and dug a big hole in the yard to determine that it was not the sprinkler head, but the pipe. During this digging process they cut my neighbor's invisible dog fence wire. They did not have the correct fittings to fix the pipe so they left the big pile of clay soil and sod on top of my lawn overnight. Once again they showed up late the next morning to finish the job. They were supposed to show up by 8:30am, but still hadn't shown up by 9:30am, at which time I had to go to work. When I got home from work I checked their work and it was a mess. The lawn was not properly cleaned up and the hole was poorly filled with the sod haphazardly laid on top (even just sitting on a tree root). They left a huge tree root sitting in my landscaping rock. I had to have my landscaper come out and redo the sod. Their workmanship was totally unacceptable.

Called George and scheduled a fall sprinkler blowout and lawn aeration. George picked up right away and was able to discuss the project. He recommended that given the wet weather we did not aerate as it would be ineffective. I appreciated his honesty and expertise there. We scheduled the sprinkler blowout for a weekend morning, between 8-12, with my preference for a 10 o'clock time. On the day of the work, I called George at 10 letting him know I was around. He indicated that he was completing another job and would arrive around 11:30. I called George again at 1:30, at which point he indicated he will be over in 20 minutes. He finally showed up at 2 and the work was done in 20 minutes. It was frustrating to be stuck at home having made other plans. I really would have appreciated a call letting me know he is running a bit behind.

George was very unresponsive, not returning calls or returning them after an unreasonable delay. He was also very hard to reach, usually not answering his phone. His attitude was not very good either, as I got the impression that my calls were more of a bother to him. So overall, he is not very customer oriented or friendly. I thought the workmanship was rather poor. I had to have him move some heads out of the neighbors yard. I also had to have him bury a few heads that stuck up too far, a little deeper. Some of the trenches were left with dirt/sod sticking up rather far, leaving my yard very bumpy, so much so that it never leveled out. They also broke the phone line bad enough that a whole new line had to be buried, but at least he agreed to pay for it without putting up an argument. On the good side, his price was very very low compared to the three other bids that I got and he used the best components.

We were very impressed with Rainmaster and the quality of service we received. George was easy to deal with and answered all of our questions. The crew showed up on the day they were supposed to, on time, and worked quickly and diligently. I was surprised that they easily finished the install in less than a day. We have an existing lawn, so we were nervous about the prospects of a torn up yard from the install. The tracks were minimal and most of the yard bounced back within a couple of weeks. George showed us how to use our system and the many features that the system has for varying watering times by days, zones etc. The parts Rainmaster used are sturdy and look like they will hold up to the elements. George showed us how to adjust our heads and overall take care of the system. From price and service, we would definitely recommend you try Rainmaster Irrigation.

THEY HAVE PROFESSIONAL DESIGNS AND INSTALLATION. MAJOR COMPLAINT WAS THAT THEY WOULD SET UP AN INSTALLATION APPOINTMENT & NEVER CALL CUSTOMER, WHO HAD TO WAIT ALL DAY FOR A NO-SHOW & THEN HAVE TO RESCHEDULE OWN APPOINTMENT.
