Vik's Landscaping and Lawn Care

We hired Brandon Vik to do extensive landscaping around our lake home and construct a new decorative patio reception area. He charged average fees for the work done, but supplied us with substandard soil containing rocks and debris, which never did grow acceptable lawn. He repeatedly promised to bring his crew out to pick out rock and debris, and repair extensive damage to existing lawn that his heavy equipment caused, but never delivered. As we thought him to be trustworthy, we had paid all of his $20,000 bill except for $300, believing his promise to fix and finish the job, and although he came back to our home in the summers of 2011 and 2012 (after multiple phone calls to him), and each time acknowledged the poor results, promising to finish what he had been paid to do. Then he  simply stopped answering calls and messages and hasn't done anything to fix his damages and finish his job. Our lawn looks terrible, and he has not responded to threats to take him to small claims court. He is even more untrustworthy than other landscapers, a profession already lacking in consumer trust. In addition to this business, he works at the Fire Department and EMS Ambulanace, so we thought him to be trustworthy - we were so wrong.
