Countryside Flagpole

A bit slow in his responsiveness in arriving as planned to the original work, none the less the installation went well when he did get here. The follow up service and warranty is the problem. I was sold (up sell) an Eagle to be on top of the pole vs the standard ball, with no comments or concerns raised about known problems with having an eagle on your pole. I found the pole twisting/turning in different directions on windy days. They came out and put a bolt in the pole sleve just under the soil to stop it from turning in the wind. This then caused stress on the bolt which the eagle is mounted on and ultimately sheered off the bolt this year. I am now told I am out of the warranty period and they will come out to put on a ball because they don't sell the eagles any more because of these problems. They now want to charge me a trip charge to bring a bucket truck out. When I asked about just removing the bolt in the pole then lifting the pole off its mount, I was told my ground area is wet and that will make it almost impossible to lift the pole off now, therefore I need to have the bucket truck come out and be charged for it. The original installation date was in the summer of 2012. In 2013 the pole had a bolt installed to stop it from twisting/turning in the wind. In Jan of 2014 the eagle fell off the top of the pole. This vendor sold me on getting the eagle (upcharge) and now will not support his product even though it breaks, but he is willing to keep charging me for more service. If you sell a product and it is defective, you need to make it right.
