Called first to get general estimate of cost. Bryon gave me several prices based on possible senarios. I was give a same day appointment. I arrived at the Maplewood shop and was greeted warmly and was thanked for coming in. Bryon went over what would be done to assess the problem. In 30 minutes I was called to the counter to find that they found the refrigerant was very low (I have never had the AC looked at in this 15 year old truck). They filled system with refrigerant and dye and let it run to detect and leaks. No immediate leaks were found. I was encouraged to come back if I felt the air starts running warm again and they would look for the dye at a leak point, for no additional charge. Overall, a very positive experience.

They are like working with a trusted family member. Easy and friendly to work with and do just what needs to be done. They explain everything well and go beyond what is expected. I will take both of my cars to them for service as I have confidence they will take care of my vehicle as if it were their own

My request to TGK was to repack the bearings and inspect the components on my utility trailer so that I could be sure it would survive an upcoming 2000-mile trip. This was a more-demanding task than typical as the hubs on my hand-built trailer are from an old Studebaker, and it took some doing to find the correct seals. They also inspected the tires and replaced the valve stems as they were old and at risk of failure. As a result, I now have a high degree of confidence that the trailer will make the trip without missing a beat.
TGK's shop is a down-to-earth mechanic's workplace with none of the pretentious frills you find at dealership service operations, so I had confidence that my bill wasn't padded to pay for posh, but unnecessary, surroundings. Bobby did a great job of keeping me updated as the project progressed, and proved to be a knowledgeable and affable operator. I generally distrust dealerships and their smarmy service advisors, so I found TGK's "no BS" way of doing business very refreshing. I will continue to have TGK maintain my vehicles.

They're fabulous. They had good service and were honest with me. They gave me a fair price. Even though I'm a woman, I felt like they dealt with me squarely. They really listened to me and didn't make me feel stupid.

It turned out okay. Their price was reasonable. They did the work while my husband waited - about a couple of hours.

I was extremely pleased with how thorough their inspection was even tho I technically only needed an oil change. my van is older and has a few issues that need to be taken care of , but nothing immediate, and when I asked for an estimate of getting those things done, they were very affordable, and competitive with their prices for the repairs. The staff was wonderful and kind, and not pushy AT ALL. Very much a business you can trust with your auto needs. Plan on going back and having those repairs done as I can afford them. A+++++

I drop my vehicle off and leave. They always call me immediately when it it ready. They're the first auto service provider that does that. In the past I would call my provider and I swear they took the phone off of the hook. TGK has always been honest with me. Once in the past they replaced my power steering unit and several weeks later I was experiencing some problems and they quickly replaced the problem unit and apologized for a defective part that they obtained from a supplier. Wonderful service.
