Everything was FABULOUS. From the initial estimate to the actual install, I couldn't be happier. Once I decided to accept Tonka's bid, I realized that I hadn't specified the color of the gutter cover. Joe, the owner, made a special trip to my home on a Saturday with sample chips and to discuss the best options. Keith, the instal!er, has been with Tonka for 30 years. It was actually amazing to watch him do the job. Joe said they are a family business and pride themselves treating customers fairly and like family. My experience bears that out

I had my roof replaced and after that was completed I needed new gutters and downspouts installed. Tonka Seamless Gutters is not the biggest company but they are very good at what they do and have been family owned and run for many years. I was thrilled with their work and recommend them highly!

The workmen arrived early and entered my property. I was outside on my patio on a work call, and was surprised by them since they were early. This was in Q2 2020 and Covid was a concern at the time. I stood up and backed away from them ask they did not have masks on, and I was not wearing my mask since they were not scheduled to come until later and I was taken by surprise. I asked that we stay over 6 feet apart since we were not masked. They said that was fine. We went over the placement of gutters and several other items, eg. I did not want gutter extensions since I was going to use rain barrels so I went and measurer the rain barrel (plus stand) height for them so they'd know how long to make the gutters. After discussing those several items, I asked if they had any other questions or needed anything else from me. The older worker said no. So, I said I would go inside. I mentioned that I would be on further work calls so to please not call me if they had additional questions - calling if I were presenting on a meeting would cause disruption to everyone on the meeting. I asked instead, please text me or knock on the door and I would be right with them. From inside on my first floor I saw them moving around the house and putting up ladders etc. I saw pieces of my existing gutters coming down. Then I saw them talk to each other out the window, take down the ladder, and after that I didn't see them for a while. After an hour I was wondering where they were so I went and looked, and they were just gone. I had further work meetings to I took those and intended to call them later if they didn't come back. I thought perhaps they needed to go to their shop to get different parts or something like that. Well, the owner called me before I could call them. He led with "I understand there's covid but you have to talk to my guys." I was like... what? The owner said that the older worker had called him and said that I wouldn't talk to them, and that he refused to do the job as a result. He was refusing because I 'wouldn't talk to him' .... but as mentioned we had talked extensively and I had let him know how to get ahold of me if any further items arose. I explained this to the owner and he said 'well that's not what my guy told me!!' quite rudely. I explained to the owner again all the items we had discussed and that I had told the worker how to get ahold of me. The owner then continued on to voice other complaints, for example that there was too much foliage in the yard and we'd have to put the feet of ladders in neighbor's yards so they couldn't do the job. I explained that I was fine if some of the foliage got damaged, and that I had already informed both neighbors that I was having gutter work done and they were fine with the ladders being in their yards. I said 'if the worker who was here would have just asked me, I could have told him this.' Stripped of all his spurious and deceitful 'reasons why' they couldn't do the job, he then said 'we have a right to refuse to do any work that we don't want to.' Obviously I had no counter argument to that.... because that's not a logical or specific 'reason' that I can address. I told the owner that they had already started disassembling my gutters, so at the very least they had to come back and reassemble anything they'd broken down. I never heard from them again. I have a Black Lives Matter sign in my yard and a rainbow pride flag on my house.

Tonka Seamless Gutters came out to my home in a timely manner to get me a quote on replacing some of my gutters and adding leaf guards to some of my gutters. They came out quickly to do the installation, did a great job, and charged exactly what was on the initial quote. I would definitely recommend these guys for your gutter work!

contractor started job, completed about 1/3 of the project and never came back, despite numerous phone calls.

I didn't hire them. I did send an email asking one simple question. That is, "do you do gutter repairs - not installations." Simple yes or no question. A week went by with no answer, so I "replied all" to the email and then got an answer which was "call me." Seriously. There is a reason I emailed and didn't call, and it's just a yes or no question, and a week went by without an answer. Maybe they do great work, but I wouldn't hire them after this false start.

Contractor never called me back. I tried to reach him several times without success.

They showed up on time. But they had to come back several times to fix their work. We eventually gave up on them.

Very smooth. It was a small job and so the concern was finding anyone willing to do it without doing the whole house and garage. Great price and execution.

The job was done when I was away, I was very pleasantly surprised to see the new downspout and repairs. The work was excellent, just right. Joe is a super nice guy and I would recommend both Joe and his company very highly. Hiring someone local was my goal, and it worked out very well. One of the reasons that I was satisfied with this repair is that Joe was very upfront about the fact that he could fit this job in, right away, as a fill in between bigger projects. Having Joe take care of my small home repair so efficiently leads me to surmise that he treats his customers with respect, whether or not it is a big or small project.
