From our initial contact to our final payment for the gutter shields, Curtis, our sales rep and service coordinator kept us updated on where they were in getting to our projects and then following up on the projects. We were very happy with that level of communication. We also appreciated Coty getting the jobs completed in a timely manner. All workers were professional and we are very happy with the work.

We hired Coty to put siding on our garage. We had them do some repairs to our roof a few years ago & did a good job then, so we decided to try them for the garage siding. Our garage looks great, they were on time & they cleaned up after themselves. We would hire them again.

Excellent! Last fall Coty patched a couple of known leaks and gave me an estimate for future replacement. This winter, while renovating the 2nd floor we discovered previously unknown leaks, hidden behind drywall. I called Coty and told them I wanted to get started on the roofing project as soon as possible in the spring, since we had discovered the new leaks. I signed the contract and paid the retainer and was told that I was at the "top of the list" to get started once the winter weather ended. A few hours later Nick Coty called me and said that the weather forecast was going to be nice in the next few days, and would I like to have him start my job next week? YES! The crew was fantastic. They got the old roof off and the new one on the same day. The following day they finished cleaning the yard. (These short winter days don't give much time for doing outside work.) And on the third day my new gutter was installed. Questions were always answered quickly, calls returned promptly, and the crew was polite and courteous.

Russ was super easy to work with, very thorough, and got the project moving right away. Start to finish in less than 2 weeks and it looks great! He was able to reuse the railing base and footings to save some $, so we were able to use perma-deck rather than wood. The guys showed up each morning on time and even worked in the rain. Even after the crew was finished there were a few details that Russ wasn't satisfied with so the next day they were back to fix those. I can't speak too much to the price because I have nothing to compare it to, but it seemed very reasonable for what we got! I would definitely call them again.

Everything went very well, from the initial estimate to the finished job. Nick understood right away what was needed and what my priorities were. The wooden stairs were at least 30 years old and rotting away. The staircase is on a steep hill and access is tricky. The Coty team was very professional and the finished staircase replacement is sturdy and looks great. They left the property clean and in excellent condition. I would definitely use Coty Construction again and recommend them to my friends and neighbors.

Hired Coty for kitchen remodeling work. A sub-contractor of theirs, he botched painting of my kitchen cabinets. These cabinets are solid oak with gold in them. You never know when something may go wrong, Coty stood up and took responsibility for the work. Coty said no problem we’ll fix it. Took 3 months with their own guy. Worked like a demon and made them like new. Fixed everything that was broken. Hats off to a company that rights what is wrong. If I had a question Coty would come out personally and check on things.

Went very well. Work was completed on time. Complete cleanup when finished. Was during a very hot period and we said we would wait on the project but workers took a break during midday and worked until dusk.

We were very pleased. Pat did the initial estimate and we had several back and forth conversations. They were not the least expensive bid but we were comfortable with Pat's level of knowledge and experience. The job was done as scheduled. When Pat inspected he determined that one flat roof area probably was not done as well as it should have been so he redid it and supervised directly. The crews were congenial and cleaned up well and they also came back later when we asked for a change in one of the drain pipes from the gutters. Overall we felt it was a very professional job. Time will tell on materials, but that is the nature of roofing these days!

The roofing was done and the next year we started having ice coming through the sofets in the roof. Someone would come out and shovel ice and snow off the roof. We also noticed water stains appearing on the ceiling in our entranceway. They pulled off shingles and realized some things were not quite right. They redid it and fixed the problem. They explained our bathroom vents were not properly ventilated through the roof, which they were supposed to do. They explained it was never their problem to check; however, the statement said they checked it. We had to call them for a lot of little problems. We had a city inspector come out and it showed we had at least 5 things that were not up to code with the roofing job. Pat Coty informed me that he was not responsible for this because the company had changed owners after the roofing job was done. I called and explained that the house should be up to Bloomington city inspector standards. I called over 10 days ago and have yet to receive any contact back from them.

"THE ROOFING JOB WAS COMPLETED IN 1999. THIS YEAR WE WERE CONTACTED BY THEM ABOUT THE ICE PROBLEMS AND REMOVED SHINGLES AND A VALLEY, INSTALLED NEW ICE & WATER SHIELD AND RESHINGLED AREA. WE DIDN'T FIND BATH VENT HOSES OR BATH VENTS ON THE ROOF. WENT BACK IN JULY AND INSTALLED 2 BATH VENTS AND HOSES. CUSTOMERS WE NOT CHARGED FOR ANY OF THIS SERVICE. THE 1999 CONTRACT DID NOT INDICATE BATH VENTS WERE ON HOME WHEN ROOFING JOB WAS DONE, NOR WERE THERE ANY HOLES IN THE ROOF TO INDICTED WE HAD FORGOTTEN TO REPLACE THEM IN 1999. I FEEL WE HAVE DONE ALL WE CAN DO. WINTER ICE AND CONDENSATION PROBLEMS CAN BE A COMBINATION OF MANY THINGS INCLUDING LIFESTYLE ADJUSTMENTS"

It was a difficult situation because of leaking from a roof which was only 10 years old. Pat identified the problem as the clerestory windows, which rested on the roof itself & couldn't be properly flashed. (We knew that the windows needed replacing.) We opted to replace all the windows with windows which were smaller, thus giving us a 3 inch rise off of the roof. The roof was done quickly and professionally, with two rows of shingles left off to permit the window installation. But, there were problems with the windows that the subcontractor had not anticipated. (Extremely difficult to remove the old windows; problems with the height and reaching them safely, etc.) So, there were delays. However, Pat was great about being on it. He came back himself to correct a miscommunication (on my part) on the cables, and he came back personally to finish the roof. We have NO complaints because the work was done correctly, and Pat was professional and accommodating. We would use him again.

Pat was extremely friendly, courteous, & professional on the phone. I felt great about finding them through Angie's List & about using Coty. However, something else must be going on at Coty because there was no follow up between the call & the work getting started. When I finally called again, someone came out the next day. Originally, I asked for several different services while someone was on the roof: fix the shingle problem, review the whole roof for possible maintenance, look at the chimney cap & estimate fix/replace, & give estimate for gutter replace & repair- all stuff I was ready to have done & pay for immediately. It was hard getting just the shingles replaced & I have never had a follow up call. While waiting for the shingle job, I got water damage on a ceiling. I even had to call to get a bill. I'm sorry it wasn't better- the roof job was great, right on estimate, & Pat was so nice on the phone. Pat, if you wanna do some more work, call me & give me an estimate!

Pat was quick to respond to quote. He even drove to me to deliver the quote in person. Pat was available over the phone often. Pat gave us many contacts for other work we needed done at the house. The roof was done when promised. The gutters were even done ahead of schedule, late one night, knowing there was pending rain. I do wish he had quoted us the gutter covers, but that's okay.

Great experience. Pat is very conscientious and detail-oriented. The price was very reasonable, and I did not need to haggle back and forth with my insurance company. A few of the nice touches: (1) The crew ripped a screen while doing the tear-off, and Pat immediately took it to get the screen replaced. He was not happy with the job the hardware store did, and he subsequently replaced the screen himself. (2) Coty paints the bath fan vents and stacks to match the color of the valleys and roof vents. (3) I thought it looked a little funny along some wall flashing, and Pat came after the crew was gone and cut and attached a strip of shingles to make it look better. He said he would do whatever was necessary to make me completely happy with the job they had done!
