BLACKSTONE MANOR CLOCK REPAIR

Asesome. Mark Purdy is such a nice guy. I toured his store and he has some gems (old clocks) in there. It seems like such a lost art (clock making and repair). I also liked the general feel and where it is located (downtown Hopkins). Overall a great experience. I hope Mark continues this highly skillful art for many more years and passes it on to the next generation. Old style watches and clocks are a true treasure :-)

Mark showed up not only on time, but actually a bit early. He was professional and courteous. He was knowledgeable, explaining what he was doing as he worked on our clock. He did a great job.

Great - the minute I walked into the store and saw the walls and shelves full of antique clocks I was in the right place.

It went well. Future work will need to be done and we will be using the same business to fix our clock.

After almost 4 months we got the call that our clock was ready. It is back home, looks like new, sounds like new and works like new. We are very happy with the service we received. The final cost was actually less than the estimate given. Very nice people to deal with.

Excellent. Cost was a little less than the estimate and the Clock Works beautifully and sounds great. They have a large inventory of beautiful clocks at a very reasonable price and some very unusual clocks as well. I have been wanting a clock with Westminster chimes and when I returned to pick up the clock they had a few to show me. So this was a win-win for me I repaired my existing clock and found a Westminster Chime clock at a reasonable price. A was impressed with there honesty, I have taken this clock to four other places where each of them told me I would have to have major restorative work done. Blackstone Manor took one look at the clock told me it had already been restored and that it only needed to be cleaned and tuned. Wonderful service.!!!!!

The watch came back in working order but it took them 5 months to do it.

Very professional and personable owner and staff. Our clock works like a charm. Darn, as organized as I like to be I cannot find my receipt to be able to pass on the actual date and cost. I do remember it was a reasonable amount. Definitely, give this company a two thumbs up.

Went great, I have another clock that I will take to them for overhaul. Both gentlemen I talked to were very knowledgeable and answered all questions I had for them.

The service went better than I expected. When I called and described the condition of the clock I was told that it might require work in the shop. While I'm sure with some YouTube views I could have figured out how to bring the movement into the shop, an inherited clock my husband's grandfather built for his father was not something I felt comfortable monkeying with so I scheduled the house call. The service call went great. Mike called ahead to confirm the appointment and arrived on the dot-- I guess it would be bad for the clock-repair brand to be late. He was personable and professional while explaining what he was doing, which was wholly fascinating to me. He got the clock running and explained "the care and feeding" it required to keep it that way. He also explained that it would likely need a more significant maintenance down the road that would require a shop visit. Until then, we have a functional clock where once a very large clock-like statue stood. I'm still working on getting it to keep precise time, but I now feel empowered by the brief lesson Mike gave me. I don't think I received the Angie's List discount, but I'm not complaining. I was willing to pay the price of the service call to have it essentially couriered to the shop. Lucky me that Mark was able to get it working within the confines of my dining room. When the comes, I plan to bring it to Blackstone Manor for its overhaul.

I put it in myself and it works fine. They were booked 8 months out, but I got the clock fixed in a couple of weeks.

They were very good. He changed the time piece in it.. The clock now works wonderfully. We would use him again if needed. 

It did take some time to get the clock back. However, that didn't bother us for we weren't in a hurry.

These guys are professional, helpful, and really great at what they do! I'm happy to not only give a positive review, but go back whenever I need their services again--even though they are relatively out of the way for me (I live in South Minneapolis).

They were good. I had remarkable trips there which I really didn't enjoy because they couldn't seem to get the parts for my mother's clock. Their pricing was okay. I understand that the guy worked for nothing. The quality was good.
