Affordable Auto Service

I requested a quote for tire replacement. Within 24 hours, Todd and Affordable Auto Service responded with a quote, by both email and phone. He was thorough, courteous and prompt, and the quote was a good price. Unfortunately, I hadn't noticed that Affordable Auto was well across town and too far to go.

The team at Affordable Auto Service was so great at communicating what the issue was and they actually called a couple of times so that I knew exactly what was going on. They were detailed in providing the analysis of the problem and when breaking down the cost for the work needing to be performed. They were very friendly and had a loaner vehicle I could drive while they worked on my car. My car drives awesome now and I will call them for future issues as they come up.

At first we thought it would be warranty but found out it was the other side. They were good about showing us pictures so they could prove to us that it was the other wheel. If it was going to be warranty work they were going to cover it but they were very apologetic and then they got in and saw that it was the other wheel and took pictures. They are honest, their ability to explain to us what was going on and to show us what work needed to be done and what work they did because initially it was kind of questionable but it was just a matter of none of us could remember. They are a small little shop in a convenient place. They are very friendly, very local shop and we will probably go back to them again.

They were very good about telling us what it was going to cost and checking with us ahead of time and giving us options. We could have gone with a more expensive or less expensive option and they were very good about explaining the advantages and disadvantages of the options. They were very upfront with giving us options and telling us what they could do in order to keep it affordable so they gave us 2 different options, one more expensive than the other. They explained the advantages and disadvantages of each. I think they were very honest and upfront and very reasonable and they were able to get us in very quickly.

I was told by the dealer that I needed to replace the heat shield for $1300.00 and he fixed it for $50.00. He was easy to work with and I will highly recommend him.

First took the vehicle to another garage and they wanted to fully replace the heat shields for $600+.  Asked if they could just fix what was broken, was told no, full replacement was the only option.
Then took it to Todd and Dan at Affordable Auto Service and they said no problem we'll take a look and see what's going on.  They called and told me that all they had to do was tighten up a couple of loose bolts and added a hose clamp to ensure the heat shields remain tight to prevent the rattling from occurring again!  Total cost was $38.44 as opposed to $600+!  Awesome!  
But there's more!  Before they looked at my car I asked if they did auto body work.  Todd said no but they partner with another local Hopkins auto body shop and he'll call them up to stop by and create an estimate for the work I need done.  Sweet!  Then when picking up my vehicle Todd told me he noticed the crack in my wind shield and they can do that work too!  I my opinion that's awesome customer service! 
I have another older vehicle that needs a tune up and will absolutely be bringing it to Affordable Auto!  I know that I have found my new mechanic and auto repair shop!  Thanks guys!

We like to go there because they are friendly and do a great job- we never have any problems. We like going to a local person. We have taken cars there before and they always do a great job and they are dependable. Their pricing was a little higher than the dealership quoted which was surprising to us but we still took our car there and they did a great job.

Affordable Auto seems to be an honest car repair shop based on my experience.

Very well! They were prompt, fulfilled it in the time that they would, very friendly, and their charges were reasonable.  It is a good experience. They do all mechanical work. For us, they just done basic maintenance but they do complete mechanical work including tires and all that servicing.

It was very good.  Their price is very good. 

They diagnosed the problem and replaced only the brake lines that were leaking.  The rest of the brake system is fine- nothing else needed to be repaired. Very good service and only fixed what needed to be repaired.

I called them from work after arriving with brakes on only one side of my car. They had time that day to look at the car, so I carefully drove to the site from my workplace. They were prompt and friendly, and provided me with a ride back to work.
The work was completed by the end of the day, as promised, and the cost estimate they provided was spot-on. The work was performed promptly and professionally, and the price was affordable. Would absolutely use them again.
