They were very responsive - my call was returned promptly, we agreed on a price, and they were there within a day.  They picked everything up, raked my yard to ensure they had everything and were here and gone in a flash.  Made sure that I was happy with the work, verified everything before leaving.  No issues whatsoever, they were absolutely great to work with!

Jeff was in the area and I asked him for a bid.  I never do business with someone that just happens to be in the area but the timing was perfect so I decided to ask for a bid.  His bid was a little high but it sounded like they could do a good job and trim the trees the next day.  So they came about 3 p.m. on one day and trimmed the tree by the street and started on the one in the back yard.  The tree is the back yard was the biggest (80') and had power and other wires under it, plus two wooded fences and a number of flower bushes and other plants.  They did brake two old boards in the old rotten wooden fence, but Jeff went and got new boards and replaced them.  The fence now has two good boards to go along with the old rotten ones.

They did an excellent job removing most of the dead branches, big limbs that were hanging over the roof and many sucker branches.  They did not remove all the dead branches way up in the top or at the end the branches high up.  I think that would have been impossible without a bucket truck but that was not possible because the one tree was in the back yard.

They did a good job trimming the trees.  They did not do a real good job of cleaning up the twigs.  I ended picking a lot of them up and will probably be picking more up the next time I mow or clean up leave.

I'm really happy with the way the trees are cleaned up.  I think after a few days, I will forget about  the little twigs I picked up.

For the amount of trimming that was done, he overcharged me. The clean up was inadequate. One tree was major trimming, and three trees needed very minimal trimming. I have been told by several people that it was a maximum charge for what was done. I would suggest to anyone considering him that they get several estimates first. If you do use him, I would suggest to have a morning appointment so the crew is fresh and doesn't want to leave really quickly.

It went far better than I expected, and much quicker. The group worked very well as a team, coordinating the work efficiently. It only took about an hour to remove a large tree, chip it and grind the stump.

Our area was hit by a tremendous ice storm, doing an incredible amount of damage to the trees.  This was the largest "storm" we have experienced since hurricane Hugo back in the 1980's.  Power was out for several days as trees and powerlines had been felled by the weight of the ice. Many crews from all over the United States were canvassing the area looking to clean up the fallen branches and trees. A representative from Jeff Hoheisel Professional Tree Care came by and walked with us around our property, making notes of trees that needed to be cleared out as well as limbs that were hanging dangerously over the house.  Even as we toured the property, broken limbs were falling. Their company gave us a very reasonable estimate which included shredding the limbs that were taken down.  A crew of six men arrived and promptly began working - it took them about six hours of hard, steady work to get the limbs and trees taken down. I would have no reservations about recommending them to others and would gladly use their services again, except that I am in South Carolina and their company came down from Minnesota.  Hopefully, we will not have another storm of that magnitude to cause them to come several hundred miles to clean up the debris!

This was a "we're in the neighborhood" solicitation from them as they were doing work for a neighbor. We had just decided to have 2 trees taken out and the next people to ask would get the business - lucky for them. They did an outstanding job of removing the cut-down trees and cleaning up residue from the work they did.  They were very efficient and polite. Price was consistent with other tree work we have done in the past. We will call them first the next time we need tree work done.

It was a very hot day and the guys worked hard and well together.

With the last bit of battery power available to our wireless internet, we searched Angie's List for a tree removal company to take care of the tree that had hit the house Friday night. Jeff answered on the second ring and said he would be there first thing in the morning. The power was still out at 8:15AM Saturday morning when Jeff showed up. By about 12:30 Jeff and his crew had removed the large tree from the house and backyard, moved it all around the house to the street and loaded it on their truck. It was not cheap - but it was a difficult removal with limited access to the back yard. I would definitely do business with Jeff Hoheisel again.

Jeff and his crew did an excellent job taking down the tree that was leaning against the house.  They needed to be careful not to damage the roof or the house.  They were very professional about working in very tight circumstances to cut and bring down the tree branches piece by piece.  They chipped the wood and cleaned up the area as well.  We would recommend Jeff highly and will likely use him again for tree services.

I called Jeff in the morning and he came to give an estimate early afternoon. I asked him when they could do it and he said right now. There was a lot of work to be done and they finished in about 4 hours. The work included cutting down 7 trees, stump grinding, trimming the other trees and clean up. They did a fantastic job. For all the work they did the price was reasonable. Very professional. Nice guys. I would definitely hire them again.

Jeff and his crew did a great job and cleaned up after themselves. We had other estimates from a few other companies that charged more. We were very pleased with Jeff!

When Jeff came to the front door earlier today canvassing for business, the first thing I asked him was if he was an Angie's List member.  He said yes.  I asked him to continue canvassing while I checked his business listing with Angie's List and to come back before he left the area.  I was very pleased to see that the business was 100% A's.  I read all the member reports and they were excellent. 
I was thinking we should have the trees trimmed some time soon but we get busy and days go by without it getting done. Good for me...Jeff stopped by.  He was very courteous and professional.  As we walked around the yard discussing what needed to be done, he answered all my questions and concerns as well as making a few suggestions which I found to be helpful. 
The crew began working within the next half an hour.  After giving instructions to his crew, Jeff continued in our neighborhood giving estimates, but he was back to our location numerous times supervising the trimming but I found the crew needed little, if any, supervising and I was very happy to see how how well they worked together.
Our home is on a half acre lot and when the trimming was completed, the crew had already been cleaning up and those locust trees and the willow tree make a huge mess. When the clean up was finished, no one would have known that just a few hours earlier the yard had had so much debris from the trees.
I would recommend this company to anyone interested in hiring a tree trimming company because my trees and yard look GREAT.  This evening we have also had a few neighbors stop by with compliments for how nice everything looked.

I contacted Jeff after reading great reviews on Angie's List, and I was not disappointed. If I could I would give him an A+ for every category.

I called Jeff to schedule a quote -- he showed up on time and promptly gave me a quote, no waiting. The price was reasonable, so I asked him when he could start work. To my (very pleasant) surprise, he was able to do the work that day. To be clear, there was A LOT of work to be done, so I assumed this would have taken at least a full day if not longer. Jeff and his crew are so skilled, however, that they were able to start work around noon and had all of the work done and waste removed before I got home at 5 PM.

The work was fantastic, and the yard was very clean. I cannot stress how highly I recommend Jeff's services. Thanks, Jeff, for the great work!

I had actually used their service many years ago but lost the number.  I was very happy with them the last time I used them.  I was looking for a tree service, so I joined Angie's List, and happened to find them listed on this site with good reviews.  I called and they came to give me an estimate and ready to work the next day, which was on a weekend.  It was amazing how quickly they were able to get the large amount of work done and while it was a lot of money for me, I felt the price was very reasonable for the amount of work that needed to be done.  The owner and help were all very nice, came when they said they would and cleaned everything up.  I would use them again and recommend them.

The tree was removed, chipped, and cleaned up within 45 minutes of receiving the bid.

They did it when they said would. They did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. They did stump grinding as well. The price was competitive.

I spoke with Jeff on the phone and he came to our house shortly thereafter to walk our yard and see what needed to be done with each of our trees and got my input as to what I felt I would like done.  After accepting his bid, his crew arrived approximately 1 1/2 hours later and began working.  Each member of the crew had a specific task to do and would ask my opinion about if each of the trees should be trimmed a bit more here or there.

Jeff and his crew were very professional and friendly and would regularly ask for my opinion as well as offer their advice.  As each tree was being trimmed, the "trimmings" would be brought to the chipper and fed into their truck.  After all the trimming had been completed, the crew members took to the yard with their rakes and cleaned up all the small branches and leaves that remained.

Although Jeff and his crew are from outside the metro area, they are always in the area and keep much of their equipment in the North metro where it is accessible.  I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to any of my friends or neighbors who need trees trimmed.

The company was going door to door in my neighborhood offering tree services. I looked them up on Angie's list and saw they had a good rating so hired them to take care of some trimming and tree removal.  They agreed to return later that day to do the work. They were punctual, and gave good advice as to which trees should be trimmed, and which should be removed. They asked if I wanted to keep any of the wood, but I asked them to take it away.  They cleaned up all the trimmings/branches from my yard. 

He did a great job and the price was very reasonable. He did a very professional job of trimming. The job that he did was exactly the way it should have been, and he did what he told me he was going to do. The yard was cleaned up well. Everything was done very professionally and I would certainly recommend him. I will use him again because I have some other work for him to do.
