Paul Harris and his crew (all local guys) were just great. I met with Paul Harris to discuss the problems - the main idea was to "deal"/remove the metal siding which had been attacked (for YEARS) by a climbing ivy/vine that left suckers over everything (powerwashing didn't help one bit). The next step was to address the really crappy metal window "inserts" done by a previous owner which were not air or water tight (leaving rotting wood) most of which were missing screens. Paul Harris' company has a history of new construction or even large-scale remodeling, but was willing to take on my project. Although absolutely nothing is "standard" in this house, Harris Builders handled the complete project with skill and speed. We discussed budget and choices over a dinner with his wife and then the project was underway very quickly. Paul's crews were great: prompt, tidy and even funny although they were working in temperatures that hit the 90s. It was the siding crew's own idea to work all day on a Saturday. At my request, Harris Builders enlarged one window opening at the front of the house - creating a new header etc - and it didn't faze them or slow them down one bit. My neighbors were very impressed by how quickly the work was done, how tidy the workers were, and how good the house looks. The entire project took about 10-14 days from start to finish - depending on whether you count weekends. I am very happy with the entire project.
