They were installing a boot on my washer.
When I asked them if they had time to look to see why my washing machine would fill with water and leave water in the bottom when it was done spinning, if they had volunteered to look at it instead of giving the answer, gee, that's a tough one. I guess you have to figure it out what it is and then I can tell you.
He found where my dryer vent was, which I appreciated. I asked him to switch doors on my washer and he told me that a lot of times on older washers if they do that the plastic will end up cracking. So, I appreciated that knowledge. He was very knowledgeable and told me his opinions. I was just really dissatisfied that he didn't want to find out why my washer filled with water when I didn't want it to. He was really very good at some things. I just have to hire someone else to get the answer that I want.

Wa La! It was fixed!

COURTEOUS phone communication. Phoned to check if they had a specific Speed Queen model washer in stock; they did. FRIENDLY in store. Husband went to store to pay for new washer. COURTEOUS and PROFESSIONAL delivery and installation. They setup the washer, including balancing the feet and testing the water hookups . . fill and drain. They hauled away the horrible washer we were replacing (Whirlpool Cabrio). We will definitely be giving them ALL our future appliance business! (PLUS, they beat a competitors price by almost $150!)

After calling a few other stores for a Speed Queen washer and dryer set, we spoke with Bathricks. They had the models in stock that we were looking at and said that they would deliver up to Minneapolis for a $25 delivery fee. The price of the units compared to other stores more than made up for the small delivery charge. Take-away of the old units was going to $15 (each, I think) but I was planning to sell them on CL, so that wasn't necessary. The gentleman we spoke to on the phone said that they would take a check when they delivered the units and we didn't even need to come to the store if we didn't want to.
We thought that that was just a bit weird, so we made the 20 minute trip to Hastings to look the machines over and make a final decision.... and pay for them. When we got there we were warmly greeted. The store is small with not too much selection to choose from as far as other appliances are concerned, but they had the Speed Queens we wanted to see. There was no pressure or BS associated with looking at the appliances, just a few very honest opinions and relaying personal experiences. While we discussed a few things, we found out that they were able to deliver the machine that afternoon, not in three days or a week like a few other stores that we shopped. And a check upon delivery would be fine.
We made one stop on the way home to fuel the car and go through the car wash. We made it there with about 15 minutes to spare before the appliances showed up. Just enough time for me to ready the basement walk out and disconnect the old machines.
Bob took his time getting the machines set up, insuring that they were level and just where I wanted them. He took his time and did an excellent job of making sure everything was just right. Then, I wrote the check.
If you are shopping for any appliance, figure out exactly what you want by shopping at the bigger stores. Then give Bathricks a call to see if they have it or can get it for you. I won't ever buy another major appliance without checking with them first.
