We obtained a bid from four different landscapers and Maple Crest was in the middle as far as pricing. I was already leaning towards selecting Maple Crest, and after talking with a couple of previous customers, I was sold on them.
Dan Ryan, their project supervisor, is very courteous, respectful and a pleasure to work with. When I first contacted Maple Crest for a bid, Dan came out the next day and by the end of the day I had their proposal via email. I liked his promptness. We added two other additions to the original project and each time Dan sent me their proposal within a day, so I always knew where we stood on costs. Even though we made many changes and additions during the project, the final cost was still very close to what I was expecting the project to originally cost. From the start, I trusted Dan and never felt once that I was going to be over-charged or that I was going to be cheated. They did what they promised and even more. It was very refreshing to work with a company with such strong work ethics amongst their people.
We had a pretty good idea as to what we wanted, but we weren’t able to visualize the whole project until certain phases were completed. Dan and Steve, the onsite team lead, were both invaluable with their suggestions as to what would look the best for our yard. Even though I wondered about a couple of their ideas, I’m very grateful that we listened to them instead of ourselves.
Steve and his crew were also a pleasure to work with during the three weeks they were working on our project. Steve is a stickler for details for which I am very thankful. He worked on our project as if it was for himself, which is a rarity these days. All of the walls are straight and level which is extremely important to us. We have two walls over 50 feet long and they are both as straight as an arrow. Steve was very patient with me during the whole project even though I asked many, many questions about how, why and what they were doing or going to do next. I am sure I frustrated and annoyed Steve at times, yet he never lost his patience with me. I appreciated that. Maple Crest Landscape is lucky indeed to have such great employees, such as Dan, Steve and the rest of their crew working for them.
I would hire Maple Crest Landscape in a heartbeat for our next landscaping project. I also wouldn’t have any problem at all in having them do the work without bidding it first because I know it would be the same price either way.
