Cabinet refacing by Kitchen Renaissance is an economical way for homeowners to give their kitchens and bathrooms an up to date look while at the same time improving their function. With hundreds of door styles and several wood species from which to choose, as well as laminate and thermal foil, refacing can enhance any home decor. Refacing is a quick process; the average kitchen can be completed in 6-8 days at a cost of 30% to 50% less than tearing out and replacing your existing cabinets. Custom options like dovetailed drawers, rollouts, and even adding to or modifying your existing cabinets are available. It went just as he described. High quality work and he has the special tools needed to give the job a professional look. He is a one man company so he is able to keep all aspects of the job on a high level. He is very pleasant to work with, and very trustworthy. We had one deep pull out drawer that was not working right. He looked at it and replaced the slides and all is well. We have recommended him to my sister, who needs the type of work that he does. A high recommendation from us.

We found Robert on Angie's list. He was the first contractor to respond to my calls and came out for to give us a quote within a day or two. We really liked his professionalism and personality. So when we received his quote within about 48 hours, we decided to hire him even before the next contractor came to do a quote. Robert came right on time every day. He works alone. He is organized, neat and he cleaned up at the end of each day. He is very detail oriented and he did a great job. When he hung the new cabinet doors he noticed a defect on the surface of one of the doors. I am not sure that my wife or I would have noticed it or even thought it was a problem, but Robert pointed it out to us and said it was not acceptable. He promised to replace the door and explained that it would take a few weeks because it needed to be reordered and then finished. Anyway, Robert came today and replaced the door. I highly recommend Robert.

We are very pleased with Robert's work in our kitchen, bathrooms and laundry room. He was very detailed and gave great suggestions throughout the process while also listening to our preferences. He built a cabinet to replace a small desk in our kitchen that was not being used as a desk. He added molding to the base of the cabinets where there was none before. And our kitchen is much more functional with accessories such as roll out shelving, new drawers, hidden garbage and recycling bins and hinged doors in the corners. He also kept the house very clean throughout the process which was nice to come home to each night especially with a young child and two small dogs in the house. We have received many compliments the updates and would highly recommend Robert. His pricing was very competitive and the products he uses are high quality. We could not be happier with the outcome.

Robert did a fabulous job, we could not be more happy with the results! He was professional through the whole process and also very patient. My husband and I were going back and forth on a couple things and he continued to check in. We feel like we got a NEW kitchen for a fraction of the price. We knew we didn't want to demo the kitchen because we liked out layout and didn't need to change anything besides the "look" Robert was very thorough, cleaned up the kitchen once he was completed, and really takes pride in his work. We would highly recommend him to anyone for cabinet refacing!

Robert of Kitchen Renaissance came to our house for initial quote. We spent time discussing refacing options for the kitchen, including several upgrades. He shared his experiences with the refacing process including his supplier and materials options. He did a preliminary measurement, and gave us a quote. He was very responsive to our questions following the initial quote. We requested additional quote of converting a smaller desk in the kitchen to a cabinet. Less than a day later, he gave us an update. After he gave us the potential start date, we accepted his bid and moved forward.
It took Robert approximately 6.5 days to complete the kitchen and bathroom. He was prompt each morning, and if something changed in the schedule (e.g. needed additional hardware), he made sure we were aware of the scheduling change. Robert was very methodical in his work, making sure we were happy with each step. During the door installation, he noticed some finishing issues with a several doors. He worked with his supplier to get new doors manufactured for us. It cause just a slight delay in finishing the project, but were thankful he was on his A game to make the corrections. Others may have just let the issue go and not tell us.
My wife and I think the kitchen and bathroom look amazing. The natural hickory finish "pops", and really looks sharp with our new countertops. We would HIGHLY recommend getting a quote from Kitchen Renaissance if you are looking to upgrade your cabinets.

The project went very well. He first came one day to look over the job and then we set up a time for him to come and repair the cabinets. He came on time and finished after about three hours and it was done properly. You could tell that they were going to hold for a very long time!! Robert has a nice demeanor and a professional attitude. I would definitely hire him again!!

Robert was friendly, courteous, punctual, professional, and extremely trustworthy. He worked in our home while we were out of town for a week. I was not one bit concerned about having him be in my home while we were gone. He listened to what I wanted and found a way to update my old soffits without having to tear them out. The custom cabinet and surround for the refrigerator are beautifully crafted. My old cabinets are like new.

Robert Nilsson did and excellent job at a very competitive price. I had already invested a substantial sum in home improvements, and consequently I wanted to minimize the cost of refurbishing my kitchen cabinets. Robert was very willing to work with me to accomplish this. I removed the old doors and drawerfronts, patched the screw holes, and did various minor repairs on the cabinet boxes. I painted the cabinet boxes to match the doors that Robert provided and purchased new pulls for the project. Robert installed a total of 38 doors and drawer fronts including new hinges. The quality of the new doors appears to be good, and overall the kitchen looks dramatically better. The total cost was far less than alternative approaches offered by two other quality contractors. Communication and planning with Robert were very easy.

We were absolutely blown away by the transformation. Every day my wife and I inspected the workmanship and progress and we'd wonder, is he going to leave it like that? Quite frankly, for the price he quoted, I was very prepared to be disappointed. It was not till the last day that we saw his methodology. Robert is meticulous in his work, and I believe him to be a true craftsman! He is quiet to have around the house, minimally invasive as each night things were tucked in to a corner and the whole kitchen wiped down and vacuumed. Never have I had a job done in my home and been so thoroughly pleased. I wish I could show you the transformation as it is unbelievable! WAY TO GO ROBERT!!! And THANK YOU!!! Robert was very responsive, followed up as expected and on time. He was thorough and prepared to go through all the details in matching the cabinets. Cabinets were installed quickly and on time (even a little early). After shopping around, his price was the lowest but I didn't feel like I cut on quality. Would higher again and again. Couldn't be happier.
