Elite Garage Door

We had our new garage doors installed yesterday and they have totally improved the curb appeal of our home! The new track is so smooth and quiet compared to the original. Matt was amazing at making sure I was happy with my purchase and the installation was purely professional! Thank you Elite Garage doors!

Everything went very smoothly, They called to verify that the door they were ordering was correct prior to ordering and verified that the door they received was what we ordered prior to loading it for installation. I was 100% confident they were taking care of the details and in their knowledge of garage door installation. It was one of the few times I can say I didn't worry about someone working on my house and dropping the ball on some aspect of the project. Kevin handled the installation expertly, asking detailed questions I hadn't thought of, as he planned the installation and when showing me the finished product.

When we wanted to replace our garage door and garage door opener, we called 3 different companies for quotes.  One company gave a quote over the phone, and two companies came out to do the quotes - one of which was Garret from Elite Garage Door.  All of the quotes ended up being comparable.  What sold me on Elite Garage Door was the time that Garret took to go over all of the options and explain everything that could be done.  I felt comfortable with Garret because he not only sold garage doors and openers, but had also installed them. What sold me was when he pointed out problems with my existing garage door installation.  We ended up going with a new insulated metal garage door and the top of the line Liftmaster garage door opener.  We wanted the garage door opener that would automatically close after a preset time in case we forgot to close it (you know how it is, did I close the garage door.  Maybe I better turn around and go back and check).  The Liftmaster garage door opener also has an app where you can open or close the garage door remotely.  The final feature was a battery backup that allows you to open the garage door even if the power was out.  We were not big on that feature, we really wanted the auto-close feature more than anything.  When Elite Garage door came out and installed the door and opener along with upgraded rollers, springs & op bracket. The installation job was clean and professional looking. They cleaned everything up and hauled everything away.  I highly recommend the company and their work.
As far as the battery backup on the garage door opener goes, we did not think we would use this feature very much.  The week after the garage door and opener was installed, there was a power outage.  The battery backup worked as advertised.  I just pushed the button as normal to open the door.  It was fun driving out of the neighborhood watching the neighbors struggling to open their garage doors manually because of the power outage.  I figured we'd need the battery backup at some point.  I just never expected it to be so soon after installation.

Door hit the garbage can what was placed too close to the door and door was knocked off the track and door was crooked. 
The door was stuck at halfway open so called them for same day service. They were able to come in within 2 hours. I was expecting the repair to be a simple realignment or the rollers on the track, and maybe a few parts that may have been damaged. They recommended I replaced the entire roller, replace both cables as well as 2 of the struts. Plus it would need a torsion rewind. I am not sure if all of that was necessary, but they were the experts and I needed the door to be working again. Here is the cost breakdown:

They did give me a $100 discount and free tuneup.
Again, I don't know if these replacements were completely necessary or if the charges were reasonable. But I did get new parts and the door is working wonderfully. I don't have to worry about possible future issues had I skipped some of the recommended repair. So, do your research before hand. They were very professional, quick and clean.

Great...Matt came out within 2 hours of our call.  Prompt, professional, adjusted the tension and sensors on our unit, 

lubed it, and answered our questions.. We are very pleased with their prompt response!

I lived in my old house for 15 years and never had a problem with my garage door.  I built a new house 5.5 years ago and last week the torsion cables snapped/broke due to rust..  They just don't make things like they used to......

Elite came and replaced my cables with stainless steel cables and replaced the bottom 2 rollers and brackets with stainless steel because they were already rusting as well.   The stainless steel parts have a warranty against rust which is helpful against the wet Minnesota winters (I get snow melt/run off in my garage that settles next to the garage door).

Elite was very courteous and provided same day service.  And, their prices were great when I compared to others.  I will use them again

I called to have a cable repaired and after talking with Chris and Matt I change my mind a decided to have them install 2 new doors complete with all new parts, and 2 new openers.  Chris was very knowledgeable about every aspect. He did not push any thing on me just gave me all the facts with all the options that are available.

it went great I would do it all over again with this company the young man was Jake and he was so nice he cleaned up after and took all the old stuff with him. I would recommend this company I would give them 5 stars on a 1 to 5 scale.

I called the office and explained that my support on the garage door had broke. I requested same day service and "Jake" showed up approximately an hour later. He was professional, knew exactly what needed to be done to fix the problem and had it completed is very short order. I kick myself for not listening to Jake the last time I had him out for a previous spring repair...he had suggested that I consider fixing this "support bracket"  and I procrastinated until it broke yesterday. Hind-sight is surely 20/20... Nice job and thanks again to Jake for a job well done.

Two days ago my garage door spring broke. I called several garage door repair companies and they all seemed to be priced the same but were not able to do the repair for about a week out.  I called Elite Garage Door this morning around 10 am, they quoted me a price to repair the springs and were 20% less then any of the other companies. At 11:10 am, Jake the installer called and said he would arrive in 10 minutes. Jake took a look at my mess and made some good recommendations that would help the door operate better and quieter. Aside from replacing the 2 springs, he recommended 2 cross bars that gave the door itself more support, and nylon rollers that have sealed bearings...keep in mind the garage door was noisy to begin with. He worked about an hour and the job was completed and all job related debris cleaned up.
Here is the bottom line...Elite was priced very well. Jake handled this entire job with a high level of professionalism, he was courteous, punctual and he recommended the things I "Needed" and nothing more... not pushy in any way. Sometimes its fun spending the extra money when it "solves" the problem.
The door operates very solidly and it is "Quiet"!!!
As a former CEO, I would absolutely retain and promote Jake for his overall attention to detail, product knowledge, great personality, up-selling abilities and his efficient working ethics. You have a loyal and dedicated employee.... Keep him!!!!

I had used Elite Garage Door for service once before and thought that they had done a very good job with the 5 categories listed.  So, I thought I would use them again.  Responsiveness and Punctuality were excellent but, after that it was all downhill.  I was charged $129 for 2-$7.00 parts (garage door cables), unreasonable unless that includes the rewind fee, $99 for a rewind fee, $29 service fee, then tax.  Total bill $275 to install two cables.  I attempted to talk to Elite about the total cost and got the run around from the Management

My old wooden garage door was falling apart and actually ceased to function normally, so I got a few quotes and decided to go with Elite Garage Door for what seemed to promise for a mix of quality workmanship. prompt service, and decent price.  I would say that basically they delivered on that.

When they arrived to do the work, they measured again and informed me that there would be a major gap underneath the door.  I decided to go ahead and have them proceed, since I did urgently need the repair.

They installed a double wide garage door, using the old brackets which were in place, but with otherwise totally new hardware.  They also installed a garage door opener with battery backup and a motion sensitive light.  The battery backup seemed a must after the issues that we seem to regularly have with power in the summer.  While I may be able to manually operate the door, my wife has more difficulty in such circumstances.

On the minor side, I did notice that soon one of the nuts came loose from the door within a couple months, but I wasn't able to find exactly where it came from.  I don't think it was structurally critical though.

The thing that I was not satisfied with was that in the initial estimate, they did not warn me of the very large gap that would result from hanging the door levelly.  If they had, I might have been able to grind down the concrete some first where it was the highest and thereby decreased the gap significantly.  As it is, to avoid having to re-hang the door, I made a temporary repair by making a bump in the concrete to bring it up to a level where it met flush with the door.  Since my garage floor is crumbling, I simply plan to change the level of the slab when I replace it in a year or two.  Hopefully, my temporary repair will hold up well.

This company did some emergency repairs for me about 8 months prior to us hiring them to replace our garage doors. They did prompt, professional, courteous work on the repair so we asked for an estimate when we were ready to replace our garage doors. A representative came out (Garett) and took measurements and discussed the products they sold with me. I had already done some background research and in addition, Garrett had recommendations of his own based on our house and what we were saying we were looking for. He had an estimate for me by the end of our meeting. He dropped off a few sample panels a few days later so I could look at the actual product instead of just pictures. We agreed to have Elite do the work, and they ordered the doors. Within a few weeks the doors were ready, and we scheduled installation within 2 days. Garrett and his dad came out to install the doors. The work was completed in about half a day. I had some questions about programming my car's Homelink system, and Garett came out to go over that with me. He also walked me through some of the other features of the system which I could have read about in the book but appreciated being shown. All in all it was a painless experience. The doors look wonderful and they operate perfectly.

have 3 garage doors and the main one had a broken spring. They came quickly and repaired next day (wasn't an "emergency" so this time line was agreeable -- they would have come sooner had I requested it. Gave estimate and suggested additional repairs (new rollers and cable -- I am always skeptical about the additional recommendations) that would make it run smoother and quieter. Well the door and rollers were old so I said go ahead with the rollers/cable and WOW it really IS QUIETER!!!!! We will never know if the cable really needed it or not but it's new now. Well I had been waiting about 5-6 years to replace a different door so I asked for an estimate and then said go ahead. I had priced this one in the past and their price was comparable to slightly lower with discounts -- it went in next day and I'm love'n it!
