National Camera Exchange - Golden Valley

Bought a used nikon body that the salesperson said "had a few hundred clicks". Received it and it had almost 17,000 clicks. Emailed and called. Email said they would return my money, called and said it was used (of course I bought it used and never took any pics with it). Paid $469.00 gave me $249.00 back then listed and sold to for $369.00. So they ended up getting $418.00 and only returned $249.00. They made $169.00 profit off the sale and resale after my refund. Been doing business (online) with them for years but no longer. Would not recommend

They sold me a Nikon d3200 and a Tamron macro lens. They were very professional and very thorough in their efforts to determine my needs. They then suggested equipment for me.

Phone call before purchasing went great. Equipment was ready for me to see when I arrived. Thoroughly reviewed my questions. A used peice of equipment was what I ended up with, but I have been most happy with it! Love NCXC!

It didn't.

They are prompt and honest regarding what can or cannot be repaired, and whether it would be worth the expense.

I went to the 2012 fall tent sale, shopped for an hour, selected several items after using my calculator to figure out the prices based on the signs that read "25% Off" . After deciding the items were worth the prices I calculated, I stood in line for 45 minutes to get to a cashier. The cashier rung up the items, that I calculated should have totaled $100, but they told me $150. I then went through what each item rang up at and immediately found out that the signs for 25% off was already taken off of the original price. As I looked at the price tags I noticed the tags had the original price in small print, the sale price in bold print and many other numbers on the tag to confuse the buyer. It it now that I was told that the bold price is the actual sale price and it is not 25% off of that price, as I thought and used my calculate to determine the cost of the item. I requested to speak with a manager who came over, I expressed my disastisfaction with what I felt was deceptive sales tactics. The only answer he had for me was that he would let his advertising guy know about the complaint. I refused to buy anything from them and left after wasting two hours of my day there. I will not buy anything from them again....deceptive as it gets.

They did well. It was pretty easy. It took them just a couple of days.

They did a good job for me, and I would recommend them.

They'll price match any big retailer. They provide a personal touch from some one who is knowledgeable about their products. I've had camera repaired there.

No information, everything went as planned

When my digital camera malfunctioned, it appeared to have erased all but two of the 300 plus photos I'd taken for an archaeological project overseas. They said they had several retrieval programs, and the cost was $19.95 if they retrieved the files, nothing if they were unable to do so. It would take one week. It actually took nine days, but they recovered all the images, much to the relief of the project director and other staff. Except for the slightly longer time, it was a job well done.

The website is easy to use. The people are so kind at the store, helpful and willing to answer any questions. They gave me the pictures promptly when promised and made sure I was satisfied with the work. They always take time to kindly answer any questions I have about my camera I purchased there.

I was given undivided attention by an employee and all my questions (plus) were answered. This store wishes to line you up with what you want, not what they want.

They explained the various cameras and functions. Also provided free classes to learn how to use the camera and how to download photos, etc. They also stand behind their products. I have purchased other cameras (video and still) from them in the past and been very pleased.

I am no expert on cameras but I can tell you that mine is working just fine again after being serviced. I dropped it off on a Thursday morning and they called me to pick it up on Monday. I thought that was a good turn around time. I would recommend their services.

They are fully trained, as well as having a full warranty system in place. They are full service and always willing to help over the phone. You can go there to just get information, and it doesn't cost a thing. They are very patient, not in a rush. After purchasing a camera, they give you free classes on use of a camera or camcorder.

These guys known their stuff! I had specific requirements and didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. Just a simple point and shoot camera with great quality prints that could take a bit of abuse. They salesman pointed me to the proper camera, and I've had great results since! I would definitely go back!

PHOTOS LOOKED GREAT AND THE SERVICE WAS PROMPT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. VERY HELPFUL IN GUIDING US THROUGH OUR FIRST DIGITAL FILM DEVELOPMENT TRANSACTION. WE'LL GO BACK TO THEM FOR FUTURE DIGITAL FILM DEVELOPMENT.

I TOOK A CD IN WITH ONE PHOTO ON IT TO GET COPIES FOR OUR HOLIDAY CARDS. IT WAS PROMISED TWO DAYS LATER AND THEN I RECEIVED A MESSAGE THAT THEY COULDN'T FIND THE PHOTO ON THE CD. WHEN I CALLED BACK THEY SAID THEY FOUND IT, BUT HAD TO CROP IT A LOT AND IT WOULD NOW BE DONE 5 DAYS FROM THE ORIGINAL DATE. WHEN I WENT THAT DAY, THEY COULDN'T FIND IT AND I HAD TO WAIT 20 MINUTES WHILE THE STAFF SERVED CUSTOMERS BEHIND ME AND THEN WENT TO LOOK FOR IT. WHEN THEY FOUND IT, THEY HAD MISPLACED THE COUPON I SUBMITTED WITH IT AND GAVE ME A ''BETTER'' DISCOUNT BECAUSE OF THE DELAY. IT TURNED OUT NOT TO AS GOOD A DEAL AS THE ORIGINAL COUPON. THE PHOTOS WERE GOOD QUALITY AND CROPPED WELL.

THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL IN EXPLAINING THE VARIOUS SIZING AND BORDER OPTIONS.

SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT. YOU GET PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. THEY ARE SO WELL VERSED. THEY ARE VERY PATIENT. I'VE BEEN TREATED REAL WELL WHEN I HAVEN'T PURCHASED THINGS. THEY WOULD GIVE ME INSIGHTS TO TRY TO SAVE ME MONEY.

I BROUGHT MY CAMERA IN TO HAVE IT REPAIRED. I WAS TOLD THAT NATIONAL CAMERA DOES NOT DO CAMERA REPAIR. THEY SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE CATEGORY.

THEY SHOW THE ATTENTION TO DETAIL IN THEIR WORK THAT PLACES LIKE WAL-MART OR TARGET JUST CAN'T MATCH, EVEN IN SOMETHING AS MUNDANE AS C41-PROCESS DEVELOPMENT.
