Only bidder that came out the very day after I called (a Saturday).  He was the lowest bid by $100.  Friendly guy, no subcontractors, had one assistant. Eric is his name I'd recommend him without reservation. Responsive, efficient, and friendly.

The owner of the business was very clear about his pricing up front was $150.00 a hour and he did the work himself with his partner. They have over 15 years experience and use steam to remove the Ice Dam. Scheduled him to come out to the house on February 28th to remove all the snow in two hours and he wisely recommended that he come back to remove the Ice Dam on March 5th as the temperature would be warmer and her could get the work done sooner. So on March 5th they took about 3.5 hours to remove the Ice Dam that was about 8 to 12 inches thick. No addtional water leaked into the house since my initial call on Feb 25th and with the roof cleared of snow and the ice dam this issue is closed for 2014. Will be installing heat tape of south side of roof so that this issue will not happen next year.

Erik and his helper arrived on time and proceeded to remove all the snow from the roof.  After they removed the snow they steamed off the ice dams.  The entire job took 3-1/2 hours.  The cost of his service was very reasonable.  He charged less than half of what I was quoted by other ice dam removal services.

He removed all of the snow from the eaves and valleys on the entire house and removed two significantly sized ice dams. We were most pleased with his work.

Erik came and gave me a estimate the week before and gave me a couple of services to choose from, which I was very pleased with. Erik then came out and shoveled away the snow around the problem areas where the ice was building up on the roof and then removed the ice dams with a very cool machine.The work went smoothly, Erick let me know when he arrived and then let me know when he was finished and asked if I had any questions. Erik came at the time he said he would be there and was very courteous and flexible about the day and time.
