Prairie Home Inspections provided us a great inspection on the home we are about to purchase. Everything was explained thoroughly, and I could tell how experienced they are - they've seen it all. Daniel was prompt, professional and thorough in his inspection of our new home. He gave a detailed report and took a lot of pictures throughout the house to specify anything he saw. The staff was prompt each time I called as well, they were easy to communicate with. I would strongly refer them to anyone in Central Minnesota looking for a good home inspection.

The inspection on the property went extremely well. This is the second time I've used Bill for a home inspection. The first time was on a townhome built in 2003. This time it was for a single family home built in the 60's. Bill's earlier appointment ran late but I was notified well in advance that he'd be a little late to my appointment. Bill is very thorough in his inspection and is more than willing to explain or go into detail any questions you may have. He points out everything from ways you can improve efficiency and save money to things that may need attention or repair in the near future to immediate safety concerns. He supplies a detailed report with photos of any areas noted along with a binder full of useful information about maintaining our home. Bill was also helpful in providing advice on what we should ask the seller to take care of and how to ask to ensure it gets done. We also had a radon test performed with the service.

Bill Laughin was the inspector, he's been doing this about 30 yrs and really knows his stuff and what to look for. Was willing to explain both issues and potential remedies. Upon completion, he provided a 3-ring notebook with brief printed summary of his findings. Great!

The circumstances of the inspection were unusual, sellers were present, and the inspector handled it all perfectly. The inspector spent as much time as I needed to go over every question and was professional. I've used this company several times before and will use them in the future.

I left the key in a lock box for the inspector. My house was in really good shape, so his inspection went quickly. I got my full report and on the first time through was ''passed'' by the official Minneapolis Truth-In-Housing organization so that I could put my house on the market. He was very thorough and honest.

I have had 3 inspections done by Rich and Bill. The are prompt at courteous. The 1st inspection they found a massive problem, encouraged me to walk away or have them fix it, offered to finish the inspection after I had negotiated with them, at no extra charge! They integrate their report into a book that is a great recourse for home owners on what to do with different problems you find.
