I have a Kenmore canister vac that is several years old. I use it in my basement. When it stopped working, I brought it to my local vac repair man in Forest Lake, MN. He did a very thorough inspection, cleaning and tune-up, which means my old vac will keep on working for a while longer. He also sells American made vacs, such as Oreck. I would definitely recommend him for any vac repairs.
