Prompt response to my request for an estimate. Did an initial measurement for the estimate, and a final measurement just prior to starting the project. Communicated status and any questions by email with prompt responses. There were some special elements in two of the plans to allow for unusual electrical/lighting options, which were executed perfectly.

The craftsmanship is outstanding! The installation was completed in about a half a day. They provided coverings for the carpet and vacuumed areas when they were finished working. I was appreciative that they provided a referral for plumbing and electrical assistance. Overall this was an exceptional experience! I'm so pleased with the finished product that I plan to re-hire Dakota Wood Design to build a basement wall of bookshelves and wet bar cabinets/wine rack. I know it can be unnerving to trust that a vendor has the talent and professionalism to complete a complicated and expensive custom cabinet project, but after this experience I would not hesitate to recommend Dakota Wood Design.

We met with Doug to talk about the design elements and dimensions as well as the look and feel we wanted in a cabinet that would work better in the space. He came back with a design which we talked about and modified together. After several consultations, we were ready to proceed. He built the cabinet and coordinated with the electrician and the countertop people. His questions and communicaiton skills are excellent and really helped us define what we wanted. People have commented that it fits so well it seems like it has always been there.

They were very creative and the estimate was good. The job was excellent and we will consult them in the future too, infact, this was the second time they did work for us.

I had serveral bids (3) and the reason we chose Dakota Wood Design was because they listened to every detail we told them and used their expertise to add to our wishes in the designs. The other companies seemed to be designing for what they thought we wanted not what we told them. We are not experts in wood or staining or finishing so Doug worked with us by matching peices of prestained wood we brought him. The install took about one and a half days. Some of the smaller details took time to complete but that is to be expected in a prosess like this. Quality costs both time and money but that being said overall this was a tremndous value because we got exactly what we wanted.

Keith is AMAZING! He was able to replicate the vanity perfectly! The quality and workmanship is top notch. Our project was under a strict timeline and he was able to deliver the project without any problems. He was the most carefree part of the renovation project! Everyone that comes over to see the bathroom comments on how beautiful the vanity is. This is actually the second time we used Keith. He built another smaller bath vanity for our guest bath. I had gone to many stores looking for a vanity that would give us more drawers while accommodating for existing plumbing. I went to 2 big-box stores with no luck and two custom cabinet stores and they both told me they couldn't do it unless I moved the plumbing or settle with less drawers. Keith came in and took one look and said "yeah, no problem. We can do what you want." I was a bit nervous at first since all I did was gave him a rough sketch of what I wanted and the next time I will see the product is in its finished state. But it turned out great! (My husband will tell you that I am a perfectionist and very hard to please). Overall, I would recommend Keith's company in a heartbeat. His pricing is very competitive and he is very easy to work with.

Cabinets and cabinet replacement doors fit well and matched the existing cabinet doors in other parts of the house. Did a nice job - measurements were correct and the look of the doors was a good replication of existing cabinetry.
