After a week, the contractor sent a message. He was going to remove the brush. On the next Wednesday I sent a text about the draining of water into my basement. He replied that thousands of others had water in the basement. Since my sump pump was not running and the water had pooled by the window well, this is a problem related to the unfinished landscaping.
On Thursday, he came over, told me he wasn't going to do the sodding because no money had exchanged hands on that part of the deal. After a long repetitive discussion, he agreed to regrade a part of the yard and to remove the trash that was left. It took two more contacts to get that done. A tree stump and some concrete from the building are still left in the yard.
The patio looks good, but I think I'll have to have more work done by someone because when I wash off the patio, water runs toward the window wells. The retaining wall has water ways through it.
This was not a good investment
