William Nunn Painting

Fantastic. You will not find anyone more professional than Bill. It will sound ridiculous if I insert all of the superlatives here that Bill deserves.

It was a huge, tedious job made worse by the condition of our decks and walkway. The walkway was dirty and stained with mildew, as were some of the railings and parts of the decks. Remnants of old gray stain clung to the knots and rough spots on the larger deck and on one long stairway - they required both power sanding and hand sanding (hours in the July heat on hands and knees!) Once the painting crew cleaned everything, the railings, privacy screen, lattice and all other vertical surfaces were stained with a semi-solid stain; the decking was sealed with clear stain (more hours on hands and knees). All this work was completed quickly (1 1/2 weeks). In addition to doing thorough job quickly and efficiently, the crew were always courteous, cleaned up work debris every day, and took care to avoid damaging our plants whenever possible - a difficult task because plantings grow right up against our decks and walkway. After only 1 1/2 weeks the job was done, Bill called the next day to ask if we were happy with the job and to arrange at time to return a day or so later to inspect the work one last time and to touch up anything they missed. A few days later he came, touched up the two spots necessary and - yes, we were very happy. Our deck was beautiful and we didn't have to do the work! Bill (William Nunn) gave us good advice in the beginning of the project, kept up good communication during the project and final outcome was great - He and his crew did a beautiful job.

Mr. Nunn did an excellent job on our deck! His prep work was very thorough and meticulous, including not only washing off and scraping the deck, but also sanding and giving extra attention to the underside of the deck. His price was very high, but so was the quality of his work!

Our redwood house, has always been a brown, redwood color and we were looking for a change. We contacted William Nunn Painting, which we have used for inside painting, wall papering, deck staining, and exterior house staining for 15+ years. William Nunn was very creative,patient and informative as we explored how to give the house a more contemporary look. We now have a Cabot's Cape Cod light Gray stain on the siding, dark gray on the trim, and Newburyport Blue as an accent. At Bill's suggestion we also have new contemporary exterior house lighting. The result, in my admittedly biased opinion, is classy and stunning! Importantly, before staining the house, Bill and his crew carefully cleaned and repaired the house and doors - in fact, replaced one door. Bill gave us a very accurate estimate on the cost, was very punctual, cleaned up at the end of each day, and kept us apprised of the progress. He and his crew were also wonderful with my dogs.
