He is the best. We live 25 miles from him and we drive over there, because he is just the best. We can trust him. We have used him for years and years and years. Amazing! I would recommend him to anybody. It was in the $20 to $30 range, I don’t remember. I wish I could rate better than an “A”!

Was able to get in right away. They even gave me a ride home. The work itself was par but not superior. Don't get me wrong, the car looked great. could have done a little better job on windows, and the interior passenger door was missed. Overall a great deal, Nathaniel does really good work. Had I pointed out the flaws he no doubt would have taken care of me, but I was in a hurry.

Could not replicate problems, but they submitted the incident to our warranty company to document the problem's existence before the warranty's expiration date.

The car was quiet after the replacement. They also recommended a replacement of the casing (it was cracked) for an additional $400. However it is an old car not worth putting that much extra money into it. I did have a useable pipe that had fallen off the car and it was in the back seat of the car on a tarp. They did not use that pipe and I forgot to tell them about it. It may have saved some money if I had remembered to to tell them about it. They were nice enough to dispose of the extra length of pipe. Jim was very personable and gave me a loaner vehicle while the repair was done. I made the appointment for 8AM, but I had a delay in the morning and was not able to bring the car in until 9:30AM. They still completed the work before the end of the day. I gave him a B on the price -- it was fair for the work provided.

My Car Guy is new to Shorewood, but the owner, Jim Steinwand, has been our mechanic for ten years. Jim and his crew provide excellent, professional auto service at very reasonable prices. Jim has done many major and minor repairs and service on our cars and trucks.
Today I just needed an oil change, but the mechanic, Mike, noticed I had an oil leak. He told me it was probably from a loose oil filter, so the new filter should fix that. He also cleaned up the old oil from the bottom of my car. The charge was for the oil change only, 19.00 or so with tax.
Over the ten years I have been going to Jim Steinwand, I have seen him deal with customers, and he is an honest man. More than once I have seen customers surprised to hear Jim tell them that their cars didn't actually need the big expensive repair. You can trust Jim and his crew to take good care of your vehicles. Their prices are normally the best you can find, and Jim stands by his work.

They do what they say they will do. The pricing is very good, they are very courteous, and go above and beyond for their customers.
