Ron was very professional and expedient in his repairs. Had our AC back on in just under an hour and explained why it wasn’t running properly. I would highly recommend them again.

I am frustrated with North Star Heating and Cooling. They put in mini splits and a new Navien water heater for us in early 2020. I had excavation work done and I had to have a mini split removed. The company that removed it told me that there are some things that need to be fixed. My dryer vent is too close to my furnace vent, one mini split has no outside disconnect switch and I have a dangerous cord hanging down in the back of my house that should be up high under conduit. I have talked to a gal there and she is not getting back to me. I feel like they should fix these things for me as they should have been done correctly in 2020.

Out with the old, in with the new...furnace that is! Keith & Ethan from Northstar Service in Esko MN did a stellar job in 3 hours & 40 minutes! My Warranty covers me for LIFE! The City Inspector came & inspected it...”great job”! I’m very thankful! Now I have heat even though the sunshine is pouring in through the windows! Gorgeous day in MN! ? ☀️ ? ? Went well. I thought what they charge for the refrigerant was a little high, but I am no expert. Service call was $99, $200 for said refrigerant. He did replace the insulation around the coolant transport pipe and didn't charge me. I received what I requested; the Gentleman was nice, respectful, and even wore those protective shoe coverings when he came in my house.

On 1/9/18 I contacted the company to inspect my older furnace, due an odd noise in the blower motor, which went away shortly after making the call. A technician arrived that same day, inspected the heat chamber for cracks, performed Co2 , heat temperature rise and pressure tests and determined there was nothing wrong. Because the furnace was 35 years old I decided that it was time to upgrade, anyway and asked to have someone come out and quote a new furnace. The owner of NorthStar heating (Trevor) came out that same day with a recommendation for a furnace and an explanation of the benefits of upgrading to an Amana furnace. The furnace replacement was scheduled on 01/11/18 as a preventative measure, which turned out to be a snow storm day, with temperatures falling from 34F into the single digits. Although I offered to allow them (Northstar) to reschedule to a nicer day, the technicians and company committed to their installation date anyway. The two man team was led by James Nelson the Service / Installation professional. These guys were polite, friendly, knowledgeable and very respectful of my property, along with being very efficient. The total job including removal of the 35 year old furnace, installing the new furnace, modifying the gas line termination, modifying exhaust and intake (PVC) venting, fabricating a new heat plenum and upgrading electrical connections for a new condensate pump, took less than 3 hours, including cleanup. I highly recommend NorthStar Heating and Cooling for furnace installation and maintenance.

We were having an issue with our house not heating up and so I called Jim at Northstar Heating and Cooling. He was super busy but was able to find a time that worked for both his and our schedule. Jim cam over and listened to what we were dealing with and then asked some questions. Once we were done talking he took the time to look at our whole heating system and figured out that we had a two stage furnace and that it was not installed correctly. After that we talked about some upgrades that we might be wanting to do, he then checked the furnace one more time before he left. I would tell anyone that wants to talk with a very knowledgeable heating and cooling person Jim would be the one to talk with.

AMAZING!!! After our furnace was "Red Tagged" from the city due to a cracked air exchange....on a SUNDAY.......in December in Minnesota. Northstar was at our home the next day....Monday for an estimate and our new furnace was installed over a holiday just a few days later. The staff was professional, HONEST, and truly just everything that you hope for when you are spending almost $4000.00 for a product. Installation was on time, respectful of your home, and cleaned up like they were never there. This is the kind of business that you can only hope for!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

We couldn't be happier with how things went. Travis answered the phone the first time I called and came to our house to give an estimate the same day. After that, we had no problems contacting Northstar and setting up a time and date to have the system installed. They showed up when they said they were going to, with the exception of one day when there was a thunderstorm but that was completely understandable. Everyone was professional and respectful of our home, our children and our schedule. The system itself is amazing. The A/C and the heat both perform as promised and are very quiet. We would contact them again and would recommend Northstar to anyone who has heating or cooling needs.

They have a quick response policy and it is really nice. I call them and they come as quickly as they can. The people that come out are professional and knowledgeable. They have good products. I have had zero problems with them. I have been very happy with their service. They were easy to deal with.
