Everything went perfect. They were on-time, have great prices, they knew what they were doing, and were honest. They also have the best customer service! DR Electric is the only place I call now for my electrical needs. Recommend 100%.

No problem was identified. Tested the GFI OUTLET. the electrical outlet the fridge was plugged into worked when they tested it. The team who responded were professional but we think the $170 for the call when no repairs were needed is excessive!!

I am sorry to hear that you feel that $170 is to expensive, but I do challenge you to look around and find a reliable electrical contracting business that charges less. As you said we had 2 guys there trouble shooting what was wrong with your kitchen appliance branch circuit wiring for about 45 inutes. I am glad we got it fixed for you."

Company was excellent at first--communicated quickly, gave me a quote over the phone via iPhone pictures, and accepted our very small job. It was downhill from there. -I was originally told the job was scheduled for June 6. When they didn't show up, I called and was told my appointment was always on June 7 (I would never have scheduled as I was closing on another property this day) -I was told a new GFCI Breaker would be installed in my box solely for the garbage disposal (so it wasn't on the 15 amp switch with the dishwasher) -When the technicians arrived, an hour late, they didn't have the correct size GFCI breaker for my box, even after I sent multiple pictures of my breaker box to the company. They then proceeded to install a GFCI outlet on the outside of my breaker box without my consent (to control the garbage disposal) -I called them the next day and told them I was not happy with the installation and wanted GFCI breaker that I was told was going to be installed. The woman who fields their calls told me that it was to code and I should have no problems. When I said, I wasn't happy with the work, she said that her computer crashed and would call me back. -I never heard back and decided to pay the invoice, rid myself of the problem, and get another company to fix their work -I have had several contractors and city inspectors come through for various projects and all have mentioned that this job was a very "creative" solution and some even mentioned they had not seen it before. I know this was a small job for a company, but looking to the future if they can't handle a simple, hour and a half job--how can I expect them to handle something much larger? I own multiple properties and this was a chance for them to start a great relationship with many future, large projects. When given the chance to make the problem right, they avoided it and never offered to fix it. I imagine this company started out on the right foot, but I believe they may be getting too busy for the number of electricians they have on staff.

We do pride ourselves on our customer service which is why I feel so terrible about reading this review. I cannot speak to the scheduling, and our office manager is no longer with us. I know it has been to long to right this situation but I hope you read this, and can understand that I would have definitely made this right if I had known about it."

The electrician who came out was great--punctual, professional, worked efficiently, methodically, and was extremely thorough. The kitchen light was fixed very quickly. The porch light issue took quite a while to figure out, and in the process, he went through basically our whole electrical system (discovered a junction box had been covered up when the porch room had been divided at some point in the nebulous past); he corrected the issue with minimal damage to the wall. Very pleased with the work, very fair price considering the amount of time/effort it took to diagnose. Really appreciate the prompt invoicing via email, too--very convenient.

I would have been happy not adding the 10% on to your price as I stated back in 2008 but you said that you loved the work and were happy to pay the additional fees since you saw first hand how much additional work went into your project. I will gladly come and look at the outlet that was removed, and install it for free!! I don't recall removing one because this was 7 years ago. This guy is fantastic. He came in and quickly assessed the situations that we called him about and was very fair in his pricing. He was on time and extremely nice. He determined that our kitchen light fixture needed to be replaced so we'll definitely give him a call to replace it in the future. I'd highly recommend DR Electric!

I purchased the service through Angie's List on Saturday 8/23/2014 and was contacted Monday to schedule for Thursday 8/28. When I purchased I asked if they could come out right away because my husband was home, their schedule was full but they did have one apt open for Thursday 8/28 at 8:00 a.m. Jake arrived right at 8:00 a.m. and he had the outlet installed by 9:00 a.m. Jake was courteous and professional. He cleaned up after himself. I would use their company again!
