The Chuba Co

Chuba replaced my roof, I had them back out to show Del that the roofers should have put flashing or silicone where the soffits met the roof. My concern was bats could get in. Del told me not to worry, cause their would be bat guano on the shingles. I have bats now and had to hirer a bat removal company. Called and had Del out again and he said chuba not going to do anything the roof was done right. I filed a complaint with the BBB and wanted to be reimburse for the cost of removing bats. Chuba has refused to pay me back for something they did wrong. Chuba calls themselves a company with pride in there workmanship. Shame on them for leaving my roof with open entries for bats. I in good conscience could not recommend this company. I know that the BBB can't force them to reimburse me but I wish they could. I'm out 1200.00 dollars now thanks to chuba.

They did a good job. I have used them 2 or 3 times now and they have always done very good work. I would recommend them and I would hire them again.

In all 3 cases, Chuba was great work work with. Jay was the main guy for the last 2 jobs (addition and window install) and was always great to work with. He clearly knows his stuff, is friendly, and respectful of the house he is working on. I was also doing work on the addition project (did my own electrical, plumbing, etc) and he helped me out, climbing into a tight spot to help me free some electrical wires. The roof project also went very well. We did have one issue with the project and as soon as I informed the one of the company owners (he was very easy to get a hold of and very willing to hear my issue), he immediately took action to make things right. I was extremely satisfied with how things were handled, and thus hired them back 2 moire times as described above. My working with Chuba Co has spanned at least 11 years. The remembered me from the first job to the last one just a few months ago. I would absolutely use them again!

They got the job done all in one day. They sent 4 workers out to do the job. The cleanup was very good.

All the people we worked with at Chuba were exceptional. Duane and Andy were on site most of the time and made sure the work done by the subcontractors was up to their standards which were at or exceeded what we would expect. We had a few changes along the way, some we asked for and others just due to the design not working as planned. All were handled professionally by Chuba without any issues or problems. We would not hesitate to contact Chuba for any future needs.

The quality of the work and the price was very good, but I had several issues. I requested to be at home when the work was done, but was not called so I could be there. The work was not completed as quoted and I had to call back several times to finally have them come back to complete the service. Over all their followup and communication was poor.

I was dissatisfied with the job this company did. The roof started leaking soon after the work was completed. The workers were pleasant, but the job was unsatisfactory.

Del gave me a price and estimated the wait to get the work done and the workers arrived within a couple days of that time. While I was at work, they removed the old gutters, disposed of them, and installed the new ones. The work appears to be much better than the original installation by another company that was completed about 10 ears ago. I waited about two weeks for them to stop back and fix a very minor issue. When I contacted them again, they fixed it the next day. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of the work and would be glad to recommend them to a friend.

It all went well and there were no problems or concerns. The interactions and the pricing were excellent. To know how serious the recommendation is if I spent a bunch of money and still like them, that is probably a more important thing than if I had spent $100 and still liked them.

On a 1950’s 1 and one half story home, I hired Chuba to replace the existing roof since some singles were coming loose. This was not paid for by insurance, and we did not have any water issues with our old roof. Chuba appeared to do a good job, the crew was polite and they kept work area clean. They appeared to be using quality materials. But that first winter, we had water coming into the first floor ceiling. The upstairs of the house is completely finished, and there is no access to the underside of the roof without removing the tongue and groove paneling. While Chuba sent someone who took pictures, on eth first floor the lone comment while the inspector was there was basically, ‘I can’t get to the underside of the roof to determine the problem.’ At that point the entire problem became mine and it was completely up to me to find and fix the problem. There was no follow-up on their part. I still don’t know if it was an incorrect installation or bad materials. I will never hire this company again for any project.

If I had to put on a new roof, it would be with these guys as well. They are excellent, and do great work.

They were very good about coming out and meeting with us. They were good about setting up a time and contacting us. The team that they sent out was very thorough and very good. We were very pleased with them. After the work was finished they did need to come out and repair something additional, but they were very responsive about coming out to make the repair.

We were very impressed with how all the work was coordinated. The roofing was done first while some guys started removing the siding. With all the work that was done they managed to complete it within a week and they were VERY clean, constantly picking up after themselves.

The majority of the job was completed the first day with only two hours needed the second day. The crew was very well organized and covered the ground with tarps to protect the shrubs and grass. They also protected glass doors and some other areas with sheets of plywood to prevent any possible damage. They cleaned up after themselves extremely well and they used a device to pick up nails before they left. Both roofs look fantastic and I would highly recommend Chuba. Del Bauers, President of The Chuba Company, was on site at the beginning of the job and and again later in the day to made sure that everything was going as scheduled.
