I've had Rothmeyer work on two separate houses in the past 10 years. Both were larger roofs.  I went with Rothmeyer again since I was impressed with the good work and speed performed on the first house.  They also had the best price out of two quotes received.  
The work was done relatively promptly, despite some rain during the week.  Scot and his crew would have completed the job in one day had it not been for the local building inspector driving by just when the crew was starting to lay down the shingles.  The inspector saw that the roof pitch was lower than 4/12. For St Paul, that would require ice and water shield on the entire roof deck, not just around the outside perimeter and in valleys. So, that stopped progress for about 2-3 hours as more material was needed. This was probably a big unexpected cost adder for Rothmeyer, but the topic was never raised.  I realize this is code and it should have been followed, but the roof would have been just fine without the extra ice and water shield. The job was completed in a little over 1 day.  The only thing that they could have done better in my opinion was more clean-up around the yard. Otherwise, the quality, professionalism, and ease of doing business  was very good.  

We had purchased 6 hours of wood rot repart. They came on time (7:00), but obviously left early because I came home at noon and they were already gone. They duid the work we agreed to, but they must have ended early and chose not to do more.

Mr. Rothmeyer was professional, on time for appointments, gave several quote options for all the roofing scenarios that could occur, once the old roof material was removed.  He explained to us the timeframe, options, costs, possible additional costs & kept us informed throughout the process.  When the day come to tear off the old roof material, he was there with his crew.  The tear off crew he works with was professional, courteous & mindful to keep debris contained where we requested & protect our outside AC unit.  It was an unussually large tear off, due to all the layers of old roofing.  The crew & Mr Rothmeyer removed it all, got it into the dumpster & left the yard with barely any sign that there was a huge pile of roof there before.  The new IB roof was installed before they left for the day.  It was a long, hard day for them, but we appreciated all the work to get the roof covered before they left.  They returned the following day to do finishing work on the edges, to ensure the roof was watertight & secure.  He arranged all the permits, dumpster drop off & haul away & even dealt with the City of St Paul Building Inspector stopping by, twice!
We were especially appreciative for Mr Rothmeyer's professional, ethical attitude.  We were prepared for the "worst case", most expensive option for our roof.  During the process, he came down from the roof with good news.  The roofing deck was in great shape & didn't need to be replaced.  The insulation was in good shape & didn't need to be replaced.  This saved us thousands of dollars.  An unethical person could have not told us & charged us the very much more expensive amount.
We were so happy with the success of this project, the professionalism of Mr Rothmeyer & his crew, the fairness of the pricing, we are considering Mr Rothmeyer for future home projects.
