Clock Depot took possession of the clock in Oct 2019. Clock in-and-out of Clock Depot's shops Oct 2019 until July 2020. Clock in working order from Jul 2020 until Aug 2021. Chime stopped working late fall 2020. Clock quit working again Aug 2021. Bottom line: Clock was not working when Clock Depot took possession in Oct 2019. Clock ran for thirteen months between July 2020 and Aug 2021. Clock is not running presently.

The owner of the company arrived at my home on time. He put a few drops of oil into the mantel clock works. No regulation or other work was done, probably because it was not needed. A second pendulum clock needed repair. I was quoted several hundred dollars, with only a one-year warranty. I declined service. Later, I had the clock fixed by another clock shop for less than half the price I was quoted by Clock Depot.

They were supposed to come out and help us remove the grandfather clock. In the move, I had taken off the weights and they were going to help us put back on the weights and get the clock started again, but this man came out and told my elderly cousin the whole innards of the clock had worn down and needed a whole new inside otherwise it wouldn't keep the right time. My cousin paid probably $1300 for a whole new inside mechanism and it still doesn't keep time. I was disappointed. In my mind he robbed his checkbook. That was a lot of money. The clock chimes. My cousin who's 89, called them out. I told them to have them relook at this because it isn't keeping the right time. Nothing seemed to be done. He seemed to do some sort of adjustments. My cousin understood that there was nothing more the man can do. He did all the adjustments that he could do, and that was just the way it would be. Every few days, he has to reset the time and to me that is really poor. I would never go back.

Dan the clock man has been servicing our clock since the day he brought it to our home from J C Penneys in 1988.  The clock was in need of its two year oiling.  I got good instruction in adjusting the pendulum length to keep the time correct.  He answered questions about the movement, its health and future problems that may show up due to age.  He is very knowledgeable about the
origin of the movement and its worth in today's market.  He is very up front about areas that are wearing inside the clock  and showed me those problems.  Wouldn't trust my clock to anyone else.  He is always on time and cheerful.  i like the fact that they remind you every two years that it is time for the maintenance.

This clock has been working perfectly since the last time it was cleaned and oiled in 2009. It has gone through two moves and worked perfectly. But since it has been 7 years since the last cleaning, I thought it was due. Dan came out and was here 20 minutes and the clock stopped working within minutes after he left. I called the office and told them what happened and they said he can come back out in 9 days. This is unacceptable!!! The clock WAS WORKING BEFORE HE SERVICED IT!!!

According to my Father the guy was there for 10 minutes and took my check. He did not leave a receipt or any information about the clock. I stopped the check and that was when I got some information about what was done and it really was not what I was looking for. I did re-write a check once I received a printed bill for services.

See above. I was very happy with the service, and have learned my lesson well--have your grandfather clock oiled and maintained every 2 years--or pay the price!!!!!

We bought our clock in 1988...the first piece of furniture my husband and I bought right after we signed the papers for the house, but hadn't moved in yet. Dan delivered our clock way back then, taught us how to use it and how to keep it in good shape. He has been coming every two years since to keep it lubed, cleaned and running perfectly. Even after I stopped the chimes for a long time, he got them singing again and explained why that wasn't such a good idea. I have had a few other mishaps over the years and Dan has fixed them all. He is always punctual...if they give you a window of 12-4, Dan has always been there at 12 on the dot. I LOVE that! I have never had the same repairman for anything I have owned for this long. It is really kind of special.

I WAS TOLD BY A FRIEND FROM OUT OF TOWN WHO IS KNOWS CLOCKS AND TOLD ME WHAT NEEDED TO CLEANED AND NEW BUSHINGS. DAN CAME OUT AND WAS UNABLE TO GET THE TOP OFF OF THE CLOCK, WHICH I WAS ABLE TO DO WITH NO PROBLEM. HE SPRAYED WITH A CAN OF AIR AND PUT SOME OIL IN THERE AND SAID IT WOULD WORK FINE, UNLESS I WAS PICKY, THEN HE COULD TAKE IT IN AND IT WOULD $700 TO TAKE IT APART. FIFTEEN MINUTES LATER THE CLOCK STOPPED WORKING. I TOOK THE ACTION OUT OF THE CLOCK AND TOOK IT TO ANOTHER LOCATION AND THEY GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE OF $325 OF CLEANING, LUBRICATING, AND ANY REPLACEMENT PARTS. THE CLOCK WORKS FINE NOW.

ONCE WHEN CLOCK WAS BROKEN AND IT REQUIRED THAT DAN TAKE THE CLOCK TO HIS SHOP, HE GAVE ACCURATE ESTIMATE OF COST AND TIME INVOLVED. HE IS VERY PUNCTUAL AND ARTICULATE ABOUT WHAT HE IS DOING AND THE EXPECTATIONS.
