ESI INSTALLED ICYNENE SPRAY FOAM INSULATION IN THE UPSTAIRS OF MY 1926 1-1/2 STORY BUNGALOW HOME (ROOFLINE, EXTERIOR WALLS, AND CRAWLSPACES.) I'M THRILLED WITH THE RESULTS. THE R-VALUE IS SO MUCH HIGHER THAN TRADITIONAL INSULATION, WE WERE ABLE TO INSULATE THE ROOF AND EXTERIOR WALLS WITHOUT NEEDING TO ''SISTER'' THE RAFTERS AND STUDS WITH ADDITIONAL LUMBER (WHICH WOULD HAVE ADDED TO THE OVERALL LUMBER COSTS SIGNIFICANTLY.) THE SPACE IS NOW INCREDIBLY QUIET AND WARMER THAN YOU CAN BELIEVE I HAVEN T EVEN OPENED THE HEATING DUCTS IN THERE! THE ARTICLES I READ SAID THAT SPRAY FOAM WOULD BE MORE EXPENSIVE, BUT THAT WASN'T MY EXPERIENCE. THE PRICE THIS COMPANY GAVE ME WAS VERY COMPETITIVE. I GOT A BID FROM A TRADITIONAL INSULATION COMPANY FOR ABOUT THE SAME PRICE. THIS PROCESS IS MESSIER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE, AND I DID THINK THEY COULD HAVE CLEANED UP A LITTLE BETTER THAN THEY DID. ALSO, THE SMELL IS BAD, BUT IT GOES AWAY ONCE YOU SHEETROCK OVER IT.
