We were very satisfied with Andy's service, the consideration for the property, and the consistency of the work that was done even in the rainy parts.  There were several things that Andy did when it rained to keep active on the job, and thus letting us know that he wasn't leaving us high and dry.  He and his crew were very personable, friendly and always were appropriately dressed.  We would highly recommend him to anyone that wanted a great job done.

Andy and his crew were amazing! They showed up when they said they were going to (the only reason I gave them a B for responsiveness is because before the work began there were times when we didn't get a response for a few days. After work began the response was quick), and they went above and beyond our expectations. Andy's thoughtfulness touched my heart. I just happened to mention to him in passing that my husband and I love the North Shore. The next day, he said he had decided he wanted to bring some of the North Shore to our backyard pond, so he drove extra miles and hand-picked beautiful rocks that looked like they came from the North Shore. He said that if he had picked up rock locally, it would not have the same look as the North Shore. His kindness literally gave me a lump in my throat.
The patio they installed is a work of art, beautifully designed. Again, they went above and beyond our expectations with their attention to detail and their thoughtfulness as they tweaked the design which resulted in a final product that was even better than the original.
Even more above and beyond: we had contracted with them to install gardens in the front and side yard, including mulch. They not only mulched the new gardens, they mulched all the gardens in the yard., even pulling weeds in the existing gardens! Then, one of the crew members told me that he had some great plants that he thought would look good around the pond. At no extra cost he planted several (about 10) of these around the pond and an existing garden. Their thoughtfulness and kindness was truly amazing.
Andy was thorough and kept us informed every step of the way. There were no surprises about cost. He and his crew were so respectful and hard-working, a true joy to work with. I would absolutely do business with him again!

A very professional hardworking crew removed the weeds and planted new trees and plants just where I wanted them. They cleaned up after themselves.  I was very happy with the work.  Andy was easy to work with and it all went as planned. 

We hired Andy to complete our grading and the first stage of our landscaping after we built our home.  It was no small task.  Andy and his crew first cleared nearly a half acre of brush and fallen trees, then hauled in and graded the fill, and hauled in and spread the black dirt for seeding.  They built three beautiful retaining walls, and that was after Andy was able to find a new source for the boulders at the last minute after our original source ran out.  He also implemented a solution for rainwater drainage at the front of our house - invisible to the eye, but works perfectly!
We really can't say enough good things about Andy and his team.  Hard-working, courteous, friendly, respectful, creative, and professional, for starters.  They worked out any roadblock they came across, with no stress to us.  After having a lot of contractors around within the last year (most of them excellent), and interviewing MANY landscape contractors, Andy is definitely at the top of the list to work with.
Andy worked with us and our budget, and came up with creative solutions to help us get done what we needed to within the budget we had.  We are so pleased with how our project turned out, and we are looking forward to working with Andy again in the future.

We were very pleased with all phases of the landscaping project we asked Andy and his company to do.   This was not new construction, and they were very careful not to destroy any of the landscaping that was to be maintained.  Any area that was disturbed was returned to the same or better condition than it was prior to their beginning the project.

I have come to expect a degree of excellence from Angie's List providers.  However, Andy Pietron, and his assistant, Tracy, were above and beyond my expectations; they were  extraordinary in every way,  Their work was superior, far above a simple "A".  I had a rather unique problem:  a dog that loves to dig very deep holes, all of them at the foundation of my home.  When I would fill one, he'd dig another; to whit, there were over 17 holes of varying depth, a serious threat to my foundation, and I was at a loss as to how to deal with them in a manner that would discourage the digging, yet look well landscaped.  Over and above his degree in this field, Andy has an eye for beauty, form and image, and a sound thought process in regard to what will work.  To this end, he collected exquisite stones, chosen for their size but more specifically for their colors, which picked up the varied colors in the brick facing of my home.  He used cedar pots that would sit on top of the stone to discourage more digging, and using hostas from my own yard, filled the pots with soil and dug up, separated, and planted the hostas in the pots, which he spaced evenly in front of the house.  Over and above what was agreed upon, he planted two trees, filled holes on the sides and back of the house, and secured a brick walkway that was in the process of washing down the side of the yard.  One very important facet:  he stayed within my budget.  But this is just what he DID.  More importantly,  is who this man IS.  His love for his work is evident.  He is absolutely prompt, honest, intelligent, an extremely hard worker, creative, a perfectionist, and altogether, one of the most pleasant people I have ever worked with.
I would look no further for a landscaper.  He is the cream of the crop.
