Tenet was recommended by the company that installed our new windows. It was very easy to work with Tenet. Everything went well. The office staff provided an estimate, they explained the billing process, and we scheduled a date to have our windows stained. Thomas arrived on time, was very professional and meticulous, and did a great job.
Here's why I wouldn't use them again:
One part of our job was painting dark woodwork white. The estimator only put in enough $ for one coat of enamel. Of course, one coat was not enough to cover the dark woodwork. The painter brought this to my attention, and said I'd have to authorize a change order for more $. I wasn't happy about that, naturally. To their credit, Tenet didn't charge me for the extra hours of labor. I appreciated that, but the problem was that the timeline for the job wasn't adjusted. We had two painters for two days; then Tenet sent the second painter off to another job, and the lead painter had to work solo for two days. For some reason, four days was the limit on our job. The painter told the estimator that it would take him 4 to 6 hours to complete the second coat on the woodwork, and the estimator told him to and quot;do it fast.and quot; When I'm paying top dollar for interior painting, I don't want the painters to have to do anything FAST.
The result of the flawed estimate was that the remaining painter had to work 10- to 12-hour days to get our job finished in four days. He did a good job, but I know he felt extremely rushed at the end. I don't believe anyone can do their best work when forced to and quot;hurryand quot; and work such long days. Plus, I had to inspect the job and sign off on it at 8 p.m. .... and I felt rushed. There were areas that I would have liked fixed up a bit, including a screen that didn't get painted, but I didn't notice them until the next day. Also: the cleanup was just ok... another ramification of the too-tight timeline.
This was back in June and now we are approaching August and have not heard back. Wrote three reminders so now we are resorting to other measures to get our cabinets fixed. We feel that the stain is defective and it appears that a protective coat may of never been put on. All we ask is for a restoration and not a refund. Now we may be better off with a prorated refund!

"I would just like to state that I agree that the workmanship is unacceptable. The work was started by a crew that has been with Tenet for over 4 years and we have had no major issues with this crew until now. We are standing behind our original promise of quality and we believe that in order to finish the job correctly we need to re-wash and restain the home. This solution has been offered to the homeowners. We have not asked for any payments and will not ask for any payments until the job is performed to an acceptable level of quality. That being said, I believe it is inaccurate to suggest that the job is complete. We have not made that claim nor have we invoiced for the current work that has been done. I also believe that the final price is inaccurate because we have agreed to give discounts and once again have not invoiced for any work. As a matter of fact, I assured the member's that if my company is unable to deliver what was promised, I will return there deposit. For the inconvenience caused, we have offered a $250 discount and an additional $150 discount to compensate for some plants that were damaged. My recollection is that several staff members within our organization offered there apologies to them. I am uncertain of the exact words I used in my conversations with her but I am quite certain that I expressed regret for what had happened and assured her that I was committed to resolving the problem. Upon request, I did inspect the home personally and I have offered up a solution. We have no excuse for what happened and the individual responsible for the poor workmanship has been terminated. We are committed to delivering the end result that was promised and we are confident that the homeowner will receive just that. I would also like to add that we paint over 500 projects each year. This is the first homeowner that I have had to meet with regarding quality issues. This project is not at all indicative of our companies long standing record of exceptional performance."
