"On August 15th, 2017 we had an industry expert, familiar working with tints and portland cement stucco, call and leave voicemail for homeowner's son, in hopes of scheduling an onsite meeting that next Thursday or Friday afternoon to discuss in person their concerns. homeowner's son, called the experts office back and scheduled for Thursday August 17th, 2017 at 12:30pm.At the home, on August 17th and 12:30pm, present were ******* *********, ***** *********, **** ***** (expert), and Steve Donnelly, President of Stephen Donnelly Company. Our goal was to satisfy customer's concerns. The meeting lasted approximately one hour, during which **** shared the normal process of stucco patching, matching and expectations. It became obvious quickly that the customer wasn't interested in hearing anything other than harsh criticism of our work. homeowner and homeowner's son went back and forth sharing their years of experience with crooked cement contractors and roofers. He spoke of a recently settled dispute with his last roofing contractor, calling them idiots and using profanity, stating he could roof better than they did. Homeowner's resorted to physical posturing towards Mr. Donnelly, which is when Mr. Donnelly decided to leave the meeting and property. We've done work for this customer in the past, approximately 4 years ago. Which until this issue, we filed away under another successful finished project. During a recent call to our office ******* stated that they were unhappy with that job as well. On June 8th, the day of the finish coat being applied Mr. ********* signed and approved a color and texture form, and during the process of applying, complimented our journeyman applicator, James, numerous times for his work. We feel we've went beyond reasonable trying to satisfy this customer's concerns. We have completed this job, above industry standards and expectations, and are still waiting for final payment to us. We removed rock approximately 6 inches below grade. Owner wanted all dirt around the house removed a few feet down. Anything past where we went was not included in our contract and is not of the type of work we have done in over 35 years. Rebuilding walls below grade (which will be covered by a few feet of dirt) is a completely different project than applying new stucco to a wall. The owner removing the rock was his choice, we were happy to stucco lower than necessary as he had already cleared the path for us but the stucco's purpose (over an issue-free cement wall) is visual appearance stuccoing this low served no purpose but to satisfy the homeowner. We went far above industry standards to satisfy this homeowner. The homeowner did not pay any money for this job. After thousands of dollars in work done we were the ones that were scammed by the homeowner."
