Peggy Ryan at Alerus Mortgage

I learned last minute from a different mortgage company that they would not be able to complete my loan for me. I was in a panic because my closing date was fast approaching. My real estate agent referred me to her loan officer of choice, Peggy Ryan. Peggy and Becki Banitt, the processor, had 10 working days to put together my loan before closing. Given the time remaining before closing, I was not confident that they would be able to pull it off, because I did not think it would be humanly possible to pull off in that short amount of time. Well, Peggy and Becki are loan super heroes disguised as humans, because they worked quickly and came through for me. I was pleasantly surprised by Peggy's responsiveness. It was a time of high stress for me and Peggy returned my calls and emails outside of normal work hours. When dealing with high stress financial situations, the responsiveness is extremely important to me. The rates at Alerus were competitive, even in my desperate situation. I imagine that more unscrupulous lenders would have tried to charge extra given my desperation and the work that they would have to do to complete the task in such a short amount of time.
