I had a really great experience working with Shawn Mars. Shawn had come highly recommended to me by an acquaintance. I met with Shawn and talked about what I wanted. He gave me a quote. I ended up doing a little more research and decided to include more tile work than we had previously discussed, so I called Shawn and he updated the quote. We had to order some of the tile, so it took a while to get started, but once we did get started Shawn worked straight through until the project was complete. It was about a two week job. Shawn's first business was Mars Stone and Tile, and so he had lots of tiling experience. I was very comfortable having him install the subway tile. He did a great job and has an amazing attention to detail. He had lots of foresight into things that may come up and that we needed to discuss. Shawn was very clean, he organized and cleaned up at the end of each day. He took all of his garbage with him at the end of each day as well. There was very minimal dust because he installed a plastic curtain with zippers on the bathroom doorway. Shawn is very articulate and is very concerned that his clients are happy. He called me at the end of each day to give me an update and a plan for the work to be done the following day and to see if I had any questions, concerns or complaints. Once the project was done, Shawn wanted me to use the bathroom for a week or two and mark any needed fix-ups I saw. He then came back and fixed anything I had noted. We really love the way our new bathroom turned out. It was a real pleasure working with Shawn, and I would definitely call him again for future projects.
