This is my home DSL service that is always available. It is used in conjunction with Qwest service. There have never been any issues with service.

I've been a customer for high unto a decade now, through drastic evolution of the commodity internet market, and would not switch for any money. They are as real a thing as real things can get. The spam filtering borders on psychic. I get a static IP. I can use or run any service, outbound or inbound. No port blocking, bandwidth throttling, or playing silly buggers with forged RSET packets; I get all the internet I can handle. I can call tech support and say (for example) "Reverse DNS isn't working for my IP", and instead of taking me through the "is it plugged in" checklist or saying "duh.. reverse what?", they say, "Oh, we'll get someone to fix that right away." Then they do so. I can buy a non-supported DSL modem (Netgear dg834g) instead of Qwest's crummy Actiontec, and instead of saying "unsupported" and hanging up, tech support happily looked up some obscure parameters I needed to get it working. I am at a loss to find anything to criticize.

I have been using VISI now for some time and have had no significant problems. Their web mail features and spam blocking are quite nice. We also use the free web space and find it very useful.

When I first contacted visi they were very helpful in answering all my questions. When I decided to switch to them, they even set me up with a mailbox only account for $5 so that I could have a month overlap between services to make sure I had caught all my email. I just didn't trust msn. After the month was up I called the number they had given me for qwest and asked qwest to switch the isp on my account. Visi sent me the directions needed to reconfigure my modem, and even offered to help me over the phone. This reconfiguration went far far smoother than my original set up with msn. My visi mailbox is much more configurable than msn, especially in regards to spam blocking. Msn never allowed me to decide what was spam and what was not. Visi lets you be in control. I'm very glad I made the change.

VERY HELPFUL TECH PHONE PEOPLE. DON'T MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT (!). SOMEONE ALMOST ALWAYS AVAILABLE BY PHONE AND THEY DO CALL BACK IF NOT AVAILABLE INSTANTLY. GREAT VIRUS AND JUNK EMAIL FILTERS.

WE HAVE BEEN VERY SATISFIED WITH SERVICE FROM VISI. WE HAVE ESPECIALLY APPRECIATED THEIR SPAM FILTER SERVICE. IT IS FAIRLY EFFECTIVE AND SAVES A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME BECAUSE MOST OF THE SPAM DOES NOT DOWNLOAD TO OUR COMPUTER AND IT IS VERY EASY TO SCAN AND DELETE AT THE REMOTE SITE. CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS BEEN GOOD WHEN WE HAVE NEEDED IT.

DAN, THE REP WAS FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL WHEN IT CAME TO CHOOSING WHAT WE WANTED.

I FIND THEIR SERVICE DEPARTMENT EXCELLENT, I HAVE A SEVERAL FRIENDS WHO USE THIS SERVICE

E-MAIL ACCOUNTS, WEB HOSTING, AWESOME SPAM FILTERING, GREAT LIVE TECH SUPPORT. SPAM FILTERING AND LIVE TECH SUPPORT ALONE MAKE IT WORTH AT LEAST FIVE BUCKS A MONTH MORE THAN OTHER SERVICES! ALSO THEY DON'T HIT YOU WITH A LOT OF POPUP WINDOWS LIKE OTHER ISPS I'VE HAD.

E-MAIL ACCOUNTS INCLUDE VERY EFFECTIVE SPAM-FILTERING.
