I heard about Joey through our realtor, who I trust very much.  We reached out, were able to quickly schedule a meeting and get an estimate.  Joey worked us into his schedule on our timeline, which was really appreciated.
Joey and the subs that he hired were all professional, prompt, excellent at their jobs and always left our home clean at the end of the day of work.  We have subsequently used the painters and the plumbers for small jobs, when we can get them - they are also in high demand.
We wanted a contractor who would take care of all of the details, keep the project on time, and of course, do high quality work.  Joey kept us at ease through the process, always keeping us up to date, and quickly responsive if we had any questions or concerns.  Both of our projects began and ended on time.  Joey offered cost effective options for plans, which sometimes we agreed to and sometimes, well, stone floors in the master bath just seemed like an important upgrade . . . !
Again, so nice to feel comfortable with and have confidence in the person running the show for you with a big investment.  We really 
enjoyed working with Joey and his team and will definitely work with him again in the future.

Fantastic.  First, Joey is a great person and knowledgeable.  He is also light hearted which made the delays or issues go much easier.  His team is top notch and he knew when to bring in the right expertise for plumbing, cabinetry, electricity, etc and all great subs.  This was not a small project.  The quality of the work was outstanding; the collaboration extremely helpful and supportive to get things right.  Most importantly, I trust Joey.

The project went great.  Tauer, Inc we helpful from the design all the way to finished product.  The project was completed on schedule and they were very responsive to questions or concerns we had during the process.  It was a 100% great experience.

Our first project with Tauer, Inc. involved overhauling a gazebo, including adding a small kitchen and a bathroom.  It included creatively reusing existing floorboards, creating new access to a crawlspace, and ensuring the new area matched the old (30+ years old) space.  Tauer, Inc. did a beautiful job, and solved problems that popped up (like any renovation) when surprises occurred.  They solved problems that we didn't recognize (e.g. placing the kitchen countertop in a more logical place than originally designed for better sight lines; artistically matching the look and feel of the existing structure better than originally planned).  It's now one of our favorite places at our home.  

In addition to this project, they renovated a fenced-in area for pool equipment and A/C units, which blends really nicely with the overall design.  In other words, they didn't just do the job -- they did it with style.  

Tauer, Inc. is our go-to contractor for all of our building and renovating needs.  We recommend them to everyone we know. 
Overall, the projects went really well.  They are a pleasure to work with.  It's a smaller company, so don't expect a mass of people to show up at the break of dawn every morning, but do expect great work at a reasonable cost.

We called Joey Tauer a few weeks ago for an estimate to remodel our bathroom. Joey arrived on-time and offered to take his shoes off prior to entering our house, a very courteous offering that I greatly appreciated (I have OCD). Other contractors had suggested we gut the whole room; Joey gave us the option to keep the ceiling. Not only would this save time, but it would also save money. ?No point in taking down a ceiling that?s in perfectly good shape? he said. I appreciated his honesty, and said OK as long as the transitions were seamless. This he guaranteed. At the end of the day Joey was not the cheapest contractor but he seemed like the best guy for the job. His honesty, demeanor, and professionalism sold me. That night we made the decision to hire Joey.
 
Upon signing the contract, Joey sent us a schedule that extended two weeks. It detailed out the work load and what we could expect to find completed. On the first day Joey arrived early with his team. They laid down drop cloths and taped off an existing hallway to minimize the spread of dust. I left for work but later received a text message that they finished demo early. He was working ahead of schedule. When I came home at 4:30 pm I found Joey on his hands and knees vacuuming my kitchen floor. Joey and his team were incredibly clean, and while dust did manage to squeak past the plastic drapery and drop cloths, Joey went the extra mile to vacuum it up. We had very few surprises with Joey managing the project, and any issues were immediately rectified. He held his team accountable, acted professionally, and was extremely efficient with the use of his time. When we made a last minute decision to switch shower door styles, and the local distributor didn?t have it in stock, Joey drove 30 miles out of his way to get it for us, just to make my fiancé happy.
 
It takes a lot to impress me, and my OCD sometimes allows me to knit pick the details. All I can say is that Joey and his team did an amazing job. I was incredibly impressed with the professionalism and quality of work received. We definitely recommend Joey, and will hire him again once we?re ready to remodel our kitchen.
